Tiziana have a very interesting proposition that could significantly reduce the number of patients on ventilators or at the very least time on ventilation

The primary cause of death from CV is ARDS which in not all circumstances has a mortality rate of 40% but is likely higher with CV.

A Cytokine Storm is the precursor to ARDS so any therapy or drug to stop or reduce the storm would be of great interest globally

As more people are in intensive care through CV they will need acute and ongoing care and those that are the worst affected that go on to survive are likely to have ongoing respiratory issues as a result of ARDS acute respiratory distress syndrome
