LC sold the MCPP vision on the back of his African experience and Tanzanian connections. This turned out to be a disaster so we went elsewhere. How about that as the ‘strategy’

JD - We don’t need to discuss why or how I am invested. We can take is as read it was all my choice. That’s not the point. The question asked was about vision/strategy. I have my view and you have yours. I obviously think mine is closer to reality than yours.

JD you have to be kidding. LC spent 3-4 years repeating the same strategy again and again. I.e. 3 reasons to invest were 3 major ($750) projects. 2 of these are now history (I can’t get into a conversation about Katoro it’s irrelevant). Suddenly, out of the blue we are to become an African Energy company and nothing else and we start buying into Power Projects. Then we buy MED to try to find some short term revenue. What’s next light bulb manufacturer? You can attempt to outline CURRENT strategy but to suggest it was ever thus would be disingenuous to say the least.

The other bit is unquestionable.

How so JD? I bought my shares all on the back of the MCPP. Therefore all based on there being coal in Tanzania. I suspect that is true of the vast majority of holders.

The strategy appears to be ‘Play it by ear and use lot of positive spin’. Wimbo why is it interesting that there is lots of coal in Tanzania? If there wasn’t we wouldn’t be here.

In my opinion it appears that LC only communicates with anyone he knows won’t give him a hard time so you can guess who that might and might not be.

I too have looked back at the RNSs. It’s painful reading. As you say the direction/‘strategy’ has flip flopped all over the shop and the promises/expectations have in the main being pie in the sky regardless of fault.

The worst thing is not the money but the embarrassment for believing the tosh that has been spouted over the last 5 years and then being so convinced that my sons also bought in (small amounts but that’s not the point). I have no idea what everyone else has been going with their shares but I do wonder if I am the only plonker who has hung on to to all of them as they have slowly become almost worthless with a short term outlook of even more worthless as further dilution is inevitable.

To be fair KAT are only $748mshort of the $750m value which was muted. All is just great here. I can currently sell my 5p shares for 1.9p so I am ecstatic just like everyone else. The Moz govt are totally supportive so we have nothing to worry about there and the Bots mining licence must be imminent so all good there too. Plus SEPCO are obviously as happy as Larry and gagging to buy in once the GoT wake up and join the party. All is good, it’s only money anyway. Why worry about losing 65% of ones investment? Happy Christmas LC and the board and well done on a great, productive and valued-adding 2018.

If we get that PPA everything changes and we are back up and running. Fingers crossed.

But the problem is that we and the market have seen so many similar ones that turned out to be meaningless. Let’s hope Moz is nothing like Tanzania.

I don’t have to sell so will not otherwise I will make a huge loss here. I will await better days which now look dependent on Bots and Moz as Tanz is a complete basket case.

Magnet - possibly, who knows?

Magnet - I think it is certainly playing a part in influencing SEPCO at this point. SEPCO are obviously not comfortable with something and the GoT have to be the most likely suspect. Issuing of the SML can only be seen as a major positive.
