2017 CPO 5 Quote Mariposa-1, has spudded and is drilling ahead. The well is expected to be drilled to 12,880ft measured depth in approximately 38 days. CPO-5 - 2016 ("ESP") initially installed in the well Loto-1 has now been function tested and was found to be in good operating condition. Surface facilities are currently being installed to perform the 30 day test of the Mirador L4 interval of this well.
The Company and its partner, ONGC Videsh Ltd have defined the location for two exploratory wells within the North West 3D seismic data grid in this block. It is planned to drill both wells back to back in the latter part of the year into 2017. The first, Mariposa-1, is targeting an up dip structure of the Cadelilla/Yatay field within the Guatiquia block. The wells drilled in those fields have exhibited exceptional production characteristics with very light oil from the formation termed the Lower Sand, which is believed to be present in a structurally attractive configuration at the Mariposa-1 location. The second well, Sol-1 is targeting a well-defined fault closed structure, with characteristics common to many Llanos basin fields. The expected reservoirs in this well are Mirador, Guadalupe and Ubaque.
CPO-5 2016 Testing of L4/L5 sands in the Mirador formation in Loto-1 is expected to begin in the next few weeks and testing is planned for a period of 30 days. The functionality of the surface equipment and the ESP downhole system is currently being verified in order to begin the test. Processing of the 3D seismic data in the northwest part of the block has been completed and interpretation is underway.
2015 "CPO- 5 is a very prospective block, where Amerisur holds a 30% working interest through a wholly owned subsidiary. The block is on trend with a number of important Llanos discoveries. Additionally we hold good quality 3D data over large areas of the block. These data are currently being processed and interpreted and initial analysis is very favourable. This 3D analysis, together with the results of the well currently drilling will allow an estimate of the full potential of the Loto structure. I look forward to the results from Loto-2, after which further wells will be drilled on this structure and potentially others identified by the 3D seismic.
The 408km2 3D seismic acquisition programme within the north-eastern sector of the block has been completed and data is currently being processed - This review is estimated to take up to 4 months. The partners consider this an important value-adding exercise given the large block area, the variety of traps indicated, the positive results from previous wells and the recent and continuing exploration success in adjoining blocks, such as Llanos-34 to the north.Road repair works on the routes into the Loto-2 mobilised to drill Loto-2. I thought access to fresh finance would be based upon CPO5 and Indico etc etc and an eventual sale . However with the OXY deal, Amer can now raise more readily RBL loans or issue convertible Loan stock, now RH is gone and the OXy backing takes away a massive amount of risk and financial burden . Amer can pay divi's in 2019 and acquire more blocks Ecu and build infrastructure - without a rush sale of CPO5 -if it is a rolling monster. So this is where A Snow comes in. If RH is indeed dead as a stockholder and 2 more deals + drill come in fund raising Convertible loans $200m interest only 3 year term, do the deals on output etc before covenants are set. With ii interest this IPO would fly - after 2-3 more deals and give PI's another chance de-risked. . HNY There's a mountain of opportunities coming next 6 months, HNY

Anyone been involved in M & A at small SME level, you try and groom the asset for the transaction and eliminate where possible untidy entrails. If Amer were to sell in 2-3 years, then groom the asset as it takes that long to complete strategic deals. That's why I target Put 12, get 100%, reduce inter-dependence on multiple partners that can complicate future negotiations wherever possible, So in the grab and run, tidy up as much as possible before the transfer season closes. Same goes for Ecuador where WE WILL be buying next 6 months as part of OBA capacity growth and maybe get blocks capable of a second pipeline route through Vinita & Put 12. FFS.

Agreed Doc, but I think there is more ambition in the AMER tank for these blocks than just 100% of PUT 8, great if Amer got operatorship of Sur Oriente as well and that would tie in GTE & Amer with guaranteed output sharing, we have the cash to grab this while the till is open, these deals are infrequent and when they present themselves you have to hit hard. Amer could have gone to Oxy with a global plan, saying if we get Phase 1 $100m there to support us , then, as well as these farm in blocks we can acquire this that and the other. IMO DYOR - its like sex, timing is everything and you have to drill down for the details, as they say. Vetra want out, NSE not established, no Corporate Infrastructure, its a Latino VC ploy for smaller broken up deals IMO. I think NSE are a tax loss shell and a great way for a couple of remnant assets to be played out or on with in the TSX, the hard core component blocks will be acquired - not by NSE, their too strategic when it comes to pipeline oil evacuation. GTE need access to the OBA, maybe by a compromise Sur Oriente could be a more joint affair. In my ideal dream world I'd like us to get 100% Put 8 +Operatorship of the SO block with GTE going up from 15.8% to sub 50%, guaranteeing in the process GTA access to the OBA. Right on queue New Stratus Energy Qtrly filings, published yesterday exactly 3 mths since previous. Quote ' Further to the Corporation's press release dated May 31, 2018 with respect to the letter of intent (the "LOI") with Vetra Energia, S.L. ("Vetra") for the acquisition of certain producing and non-producing oil and gas properties located in Colombia, the Corporation has been working toward definitive agreements and the closing of this transaction and the related private placement. The exclusivity period under the LOI has expired; however, the Corporation is continuing to negotiate the terms of a potential transaction with Vetra and expects to issue a news release containing the updated transaction terms in the next few weeks. Looking at their accounts quickly a few things stand out:
1. They have only $$55k cash at 30th Sept
2. No further Director funding even though the lost $500k in the quarter - so a deal is being done.
3. They have enacted a put option and getting out of Uranium
4. They have acquired VMM 18 by taking on their $3m E & P commitments

IMO DYOR - I think drilling for Put 8 was shelved, firstly, could they trust a new Rookie partner in PUT 8 with little cash = NSE. Then as the LOI expired end July , move in and maybe take pressure off NSE with a cash deal for PUT 8 & Sur Oriente, if GTE all fully committed - they get cash and reduced forward drilling and exploration commitments quasi cash. PUT 8 IMO has been held back for a deal of some kind and could be drilled from Plat West 2nd Target, so they are linked, hold up Pint 1 drilling if PUT 8 comes in, as drill PUT 8 next. Anyway the deadlock has been broken - we will know about Vetra just after Indico 1. IMO Ecopetrol, is in this deal as they have a prod'n sharing contract with Vetra and I know who they would prefer after the OXY deal. AND AND we couldn't fully commit to a sign off on ANY Vetra deal until OXY $100m was brought home, now gloves OFF, Next years forecast model, will work on it. So to Come

Production has been stable for the past year, and Harrison tells us there has been no drop in well-head pressure ‘which would indicate it is a potentially substantial structure”. He goes on to say: “If the Indico-1 well performs anything like that it would point to the fact the CPO-5 block could be very prospective and perhaps larger than we’d hoped for” Occidental have huge technical resources and the fact they did a large amount of due diligence before they entered into this transaction I think should give investors comfort that Occidental see a lot of value in these blocks, as do we. Unfortunately, the market isn’t giving any value to the blocks. Our 2P reserves really underpin our share price in the Platanillo block, and no one’s ascribing any value to these other assets that we acquired in the downturn.” Under stated NH, the reason the Mkt have NOT PUT a value on CPO 5 is they have not given out enough information except for a select few after 4 weels we could have 30% of 20kbopd - hightly valuable light oil. !! if Indico comes in as hoped - output and potential reserves looks very good indeed. Petroamerica, as part of a bid consortium (including Gran Tierra, with a 65% WI and operator, and the Corporation with a 35% WI) was the successful bidder in the 2014 Colombia Bid Round for the PUT-31 Block in the Putumayo Basin. The block is interpreted to lie in the SWWET SPOT of N-Sand play fairway in the Putumayo, and its award is subject to final confirmation by the ANH. This block carries a minimum work commitment of 200 km2 of 3D seismic and one exploration well, along with additional exploration work totaling $100,000.
There is so major an Oil major can gain if these blocks coalesce - AMer job wit GTE is to bring this together IMO DYOR next 2-3 years after the second pipeline is complete. So massive upside, our $100m utilisation, is in part flexible so part can go for acquisitions or so on, Gods pocket and just note the peppes who complain and why?? GNL end.
