Markham main 4MW, Three nooks 0.8MW & now Mossfield 2MW passed planning all baseload Quote' Plans for energy park in Adderley Green have been approved to allow methane gas extraction. Councillor Andy Platt, cabinet member for green enterprises and a clean city, said: "We've got a band of mines all over the city with methane seeping to the surface all the time and I think that however much people try to object about this, in the cold light of day, it is a very safe thing to do."The development will be carried out in several phases, including site preparation, drilling and testing and extraction. Councillor Alan Dutton, who represents Burslem Central, said: "All we are doing here is using a resource that is already there to the benefit of the National Grid, so we can get good use from it. "I see no reason why we can't go down this road and go ahead with this." Committee chairman Tom Reynolds, who represents Broadway and Longton East, added: "My only concern around this sort of enterprise and the extraction of gas is the climate change implication. "But if methane is leaking through the ground already then there's implications on the climate anyway . "I would welcome any extraction of methane which would allow it to be put to a more positive use." End - Councils talking sense. Eden still has further work to complete its farmin obligation on PEDLs 148 and149, the two other licences that were in the subject of the original farmin agreement, shown in Figure 1, and to earn an interest in the deeper conventional natural gas targets in all three PEDLs. In aggregate, these PEDLs cover a combined area of 430 Km2, or more than 20% of the South Wales coal bearing basin. The South Wales coal field contains the gassiest coals in Europe. According to a November 2004 report compiled by the British Geological Survey (UK Coal Resource for New Exploitation Technologies – COAL R271, DTI/Pub, URN 04/1879), the South Wales Coal field has demonstrated methane values in excess of 20 m3/t. This is more than twice the highest value for any other coal field in the UK. PEDL 100 (230 Km2) represents less than one quarter of Eden’s total licence area in South Wales coal field (1000 Km2). It is therefore reasonable to expect prospective CSM resources in Eden’s total South Wales licence areas to be much larger the 380PJ to 670 PJ indicated in PEDL 100 alone. Potential Value of Eden’s UK CSM Interests. In addition, Eden’s South Wales licences are exceptionally well located, being close to significant gas customers and with access to natural gas pipelines and both National and European power grids. Reading the Half year the loan has not vanished but drawn down for working capital purposes - Quote' The Company also announced that it had secured a convertible loan facility for up to £300,000 from Mr Williams. The funds will be used to cover the initial due diligence and other costs directly associated with the acquisition (the " Cost Contribution") and for general working capital purposes. £80,000 of the loan was drawn down by 30 June 2014. Post Balance Sheet Events and Outlook: On 23 July 2014, the Company announced that the negotiations with UKOG had been terminated and the proposed acquisition of UKOG would no longer take place. Accordingly, trading in its shares was resumed. The Company also announced that the terms of the convertible loan facility had been modified and funds drawn down under the facility will no longer be used to cover the due diligence and other costs associated with the acquisition of UKOG but will instead be used for working capital and investment purposes in accordance with the Company's investing policy. I've been on the move so to speak researching but I am detecting a UK AIM well exploration trend/strategy whilst there is hostile Planning & Permitting & lack of exploration data. Case in point PPC drilled to 4.5km found 20tcf Shale despite an oil migration of the conventional target slamming the SP short term and no SP response to the find. The perfect storm is conventional find balanced with scaled unconventional IMHO longer lead time. Case in point Horse hill 4-5 stacked conventional layers why do an Arne Saknussemm Journey to The Centre thereof!! for Portalnd Oil <1000m. EDR smaller but same principle ?? Have they found Conventional & Unconventional - besides Wresstle is on a crest/ shallower - maybe hence the delay with results - guess only but expect more of the same - the intent will be to prove Shale gas more importantly Shale Oil!!. Marcellus Shale Continues to Prove Analysts Wrong - Quote The impact of the Marcellus shale formation on domestic natural gas supply is difficult to overstate. The speed and volume in developing this formation is astonishing. In 2007, Marcellus supplied only 2 % of domestic supply in the U.S. By the end of 2013 it accounted for nearly 20% of total supply. The EIA predicts the formation will produce an average of 15.9 bn cubic feet of gas per day in September, nearly a quarter of all U.S. production. If Marcellus had one constant trait, it would be that it has continued to prove ‘experts’ wrong or extremely conservative in their projections of the formation’s output. Just how has Marcellus continued to grow at such a blistering pace? To start, the industry’s learning curve has been impressive. Marcellus natural gas production continues to grow despite a drop in rig count since 2012. Historically, natural gas volumes have responded to shifts in rig counts. Analysts have argued that it would be difficult for the industry to maintain production with a slowdown of drilling activity. The Marcellus has turned this logic flat on its face. Marcellus producers have succeeded in producing more gas from each rig. In 2007, one rig averaged roughly 422 mcf/d. The latest data in 2014 shows that producers are averaging nearly 8,000 mcf/d. In terms of project economics, last October, Terry Engelder, a professor of geosciences at Penn State University raised eyebrows when he stated that roughly 78% of the producing horizontal-drilled Marcellus natural gas wells have already paid for themselves. Even with record amounts of natural gas coming online domestically, it looks as though Marcellus producers, at least Cabot Oil & Gas, will have solid margins for a typical Marcellus well. Looking ahead, the Marcellus formation will continue to be exploited more efficiently by companies that have learned from past drilling experiences. As in other formations, production will increase faster than infrastructure development and all players will look to reduce drilling costs. Producers believe one of the best areas to lower costs is by using water more efficiently. In the Marcellus, a typical hydraulic fracturing operation for a horizontal gas well in a tight shale formation requires between 3-5 m galls of water, typically over a 2-5 day period. In 2012, S/W Energy CEO Steven Muller stated that water removal averaged about $1.5 m per well. Today, that cost has dropped to roughly $1m per well. If history is any indicator of the future, it is difficult to predict the scale or speed of Marcellus shale production. Domestic and even international natural gas demand will play a significant role. This demand will be feed by the widespread fuel switch of power plants from coal to natural gas, the growth in the petrochemical and manufacturing industry, and even LNG exports down the road. If demand does keep natural gas prices between a sweet spot of $5-6 GN

Hopefully, 10th Sept if ALK hit +£9m Pre tax, that is as much profit over the last 5 years since 2009, moving the business forward at an accelerated albeit through an exceptional disposal profit. The interest will be the insight into power shortages and current record production. Disappointed Three Nooks is 0.8MW (Not 2MW) but Nat Gas will run for +20 years own source - generating+£400k Rev throught-out and much lower Cap exp - esp the Grid connection which is huge cost - throw some cash income at EDR Joint licence holder. Secondly the Scottish vote, on top of 2 Nuke reactors on safety showdown +4GW taken off the grid +Plus Scotlands renewables - mostly wind, As Kipling said if you can keep your head whilst all others etc. I think - Our UK Business of the Year CEO Neil C O'B is the man for the job. I shouldn't say this but in some very deprived Industrial Welsh ex Coal Board areas, if you invite transparent Environ Agency controlled & environmentally friendly properly exploration - outside of any residential areas - targeted at the substantial abandoned mining areas and kept there, throw in jobs and reduce coal emissions to be replaced with clean Nat gas - drill stupidly below the water table/ stop contamination and the only loser is Putin and the odd Norwegian.
