There is some talk of substitution of Vanadium, used for steel strengthening, as Vanadium prices have risen a lot recently and are expected to at least maintain current levels for some time. This brings Niobium and I believe Manganese into play. China, Russia and India are all building many, many things and steel demand is high...

Do we have any idea of the cost of an install, and what percentage would go to BMN, versus the others in the supply chain. I have assumed BMN are supplying the battery, complete to the customer whilst sourcing components from our supply partners, or is it s group arrangement with each party taking a cut?

must be people either shorting or waiting for a lower buy in price otherwise why bother spending so much time here?
if they are shorting they want it lower to get out, thus buy back the shares they borrowed and sold = likely sp increase on sudden volume. Or if waiting for a lower buy in suggests they think the sp will go higher again = either way sp going up again... like they always do after a dip, all sp's go up and down, up and down, up and down. Of course some go down to oblivion and I would perhaps be worried if there was some bad actual news but we seem to be making rather a lot of money, have a new venture about to launch, v prices starting to turn with end of Chinese new year holiday and expected rebar standard change compliance increasing during 2019 and no new capacity on stream for some time, etc etc

BBN. In my market, plastics, the advertised index prices are a guide only and do not represent the real buying price, particularly for large users. I am not sure of the historical tracking here but the disparity of what was expected here and what Bushveld achieved does not surprise me. As you state there may be sells covering the reporting periods, payment delays, offset pricing etc with different customers which can all affect the quarterly results. The interesting thought being if q4 did not show full value for the last V price spike then it is likely to roll into the q1 numbers.
Everyone probably knows this but I rhought I would add my experience of commodity pricing over fixed periods, there is always flux.

The SP will do what it does, this feels like an over reaction and I do expect a rebound soon, bought more today at 37.4 to be honest. Feel comfortable for the future.
