Significantly oversubscribed! Zen was right, they can't get enough
Just about any other share on AIM raising a placing for €10m would be at an enormous discount to sp.
Somehow I feel there won't be much discount on this one. Investors will be very clued up on potential news flow.
To flip the question on its head - what happens if it is proven to be effective?
Obviously a massive demand short term for cv patients. And governments may want to stockpile to ensure supply in case of further outbreaks or a new strain.
But don't forget that ARDS was already a massive problem with an unmet need. Over 2 million people diagnosed every year. Mortality rates around 30-40%. Average hospital treatment cost of $50k per patient. 13% of survivors need permanent dialysis at a cost of $89k per year.
The need was there prior to CV and will continue King after. The remap-cap trial will rapidly accelerate that path to market and is funded by agencies.
Of course it might not work. But there's enough to this company aside from covid-19 that it could still have a very bright future even if traumakine is not successful.
In the fairly unlikely event that is the case I guess we'll just have to make do with clevegen which has shown a 44% reduction in tumours after all other treatments failed. On a dosage finding study.
Oh and the secret weapon.
Let's stop comparing which is better between traumakine and sng drug. I hope they both are effective for the sake of saving lives.
Also if both are effective it backs up that Interferon beta-1a is the answer, so it is in both companies interest that each succeeds. Demand will be high enough that both will be utilised if effective.
I think doctors preference would be for traumakine as when a patient is critically ill IV might be the only reliable delivery method. But as above, there would be demand for both drugs as there won't be enough traumakine in stock to satisfy immediate GLOBAL demand.
With regards to clevegen you couldn't really hope for a better result at this stage phase I/II.
Partnership will be announced soon for both drugs.
This will both provide funding and for clevegen allow combination studies, expediting the clinical trial process. It's all in the presentation.

31st March for me thanks
Doh! 0.15% .... bloody decimals.
The £662 is the UT.
But the 250k @ £565k, that's not far off 1.5% of the shares in issue by my calc?
TV campaign and national brand advertising - called it yesterday!
Sounds positive.
That's a fair point. I wasn't necessarily suggesting insider info but 1% of the mcap is a signicant buy.
Could be someone very confident for whatever reason, or as you say a person / entity to which this is relatively small change - in which case let's hope they continue adding!
So it's definitely not warrants? I agree with bricks, that would only be good news. If you had warrants at .025 why on earth would you exercise at current sp when you could wait to see if the sp goes up and then exercise at .025 still? Unless you knew something was coming and you might lose them.
Alternatively it's a straight buy. And why on earth would you invest such a large sum? Unless you knew something was coming.
Today lodged my vote against the deal with my 865k share holding. Not a huge amount but it all counts.
Don't let your vote go to waste, or worse, default to accepting a deal that will be the end of AAOG and your holding with it.
Noticed some fairly hefty buys over the last week
