If good FCA news arrives, I imagine the management will be ready to build on it with tweets/RNSs about current dealings and lucrative plans for the future. That should make it less of a spike, more of a rise.

Have a look at the share price going back a few years: the recent rise in April has held up better than the 2 spikes in Jan and Oct 2021 due to big news being imminent.

The FCA doesn't seem to be functioning well enough to be guarding against leaks, Roger, they're struggling with sickness according to GST's RNS of 12th May.

That RNS also said: "The FCA have indicated that they will now be able to provide a decision on the Sandbox Application by the end of May 2023". It sounds likely to me (but not certain) that this drag of a wait will be over by 31st May.

One explanation for the timing of the placing 2 days ago might have been to set a floor for the share price: it's up 20% on the 1p placing after only 2 days, that makes the company looks strong.

Someone on this board keeps imagining this is an AIM share: I think this morning has proved that GST deserves honorary AIM status.

RNS at 11 am today (for those slow on the uptake like me):
