The key issue is that the research numbers all look too good to be true.
The main negative is that the City boys don't believe them. When most orders come from a "related" company then these order numbers can be inflated in order to get a good IPO price.

Looking at price action it appears there are still major concerns about honesty from the company.

I also researched the company and bought shares but was not aware of possible conflict of interest.

The market currently has doubts so take care.

Canada does not have a good record when it comes to stock market regulation.
Also the regulations for London are loeer tjan Wall Street.... So why did they choose London?!

I have no axe to grind but just trying to give balance to this board and help protect people.

The Tea Lady just told me the Grim reaper is approaching.

CPP is one of the associated companies in question.
CPP may claim a 5billion pound order but will anyone believe them.
Until AWE receive money in the bank I would be cautious.

I've shorted at 257p just to declare my position.

Sure it will annoy people but balanced views is what we need not just one sided ones.

All the company reports and financials look brilliant.
Maybe too good.
Worth standing back for the dust to settle maybe.
Price action is weak after shorters covered their poditions.
I sold at a loss at 260p as I felt uneasy.

The danger is the FT does a follow up article, which would certainly be bad for the sp.
Can't see big buyers until all this has blown over.

Just waiting to see who screwed us over on this one.
Either the FT reporter or Alphawave directors.
If it's the FT reporter he should be sacked and prosecuted..
If it is the Directors then they should be imprisoned for fraud.... But it is Canads so nothing will happen.

Hopefully the former is true.

Hold tight for the ride next week.

In rns but in summary a non executive director of Alphawave bought £150,000 of shares today at 255p.
Why would they do this if more bad news on the way?!

Yep, good to see some stability.
This could have gone anywhere this morning after the bloodbath into the close yesterday.
Slow and steady is what we want now... Hopefully 250p+ Friday.
Unforturnate to get caught in a crash like this but that's life.
300p could be a while yet and can't see it for a
while.

The tea lady says more upside tomorrow.

MMs still accumulating from what I can see.
They clearly see a price above 250p in coming days.

Wait for 2:30pm+
MMs pockets full of shares ready to sell to them at 225p+
....having bought them sub 200p!

Interesting tactic by MMs.
Limit buys severly and allow all sells, as earlier today.
Means they collect a load of shares at a knock down price from panic sellers but don't jave to pass them on to buyers...... Then manipulate price higher and only then allow a buyer free for all.
The MMs make a packet.... Crooks!

Certainly whiffs of manipulation by shorters.
The news is "old" news.
They'll start covering their shorts soon so should see a pop back up today, tomorrow.

Big dividend considering its a growth share!

If you're lucky the big buyer will stay clear until. wednesday!

On further research it appears these loan notes were converted back to shares on the IPO.
Therefore the issue is closed IMO.

I don't know if ML exchanged all or some of his pre float shares for the loan note paying 18% intetest from the hardcearned cash of shareholders.....
The interest Dark is paying on the loan notes is around £40 million a year rougly on a loan of about £200 million.
The loan notes are convertable.... So convertable back to shares I guess.....probably at a very favourable rate.
Dark should clarify this current state ofvthese notes, and say how much ML holds of them. Also they should clarify the convertable rules.

Probably nothing to worry about... Maybe!

Who knows.... But been a big buyer in the market for a few weeks now.
£20 has been played with by the market makers for a while, so only a matter of time it will go above £20 and not come back.
If you're lucky may get a bad market day this week and they slam everything down... But don't hold your breath!
