Yup I agree a muskramp (I think that's quite a good phase) is potentially a universal risk.
I made a profit I am happy with so I am happy with my decision.
As I said, good luck to everyone still holding and I hope ARB continues to deliver for you. Gla
Really glad I got out yesterday morning. Way to many red lights for me following the early morning movement.
Just read article that said Elon was having more fun tweeting :( I just don't think ARB can be a quality stock as long as 1 person can influence the SP.
If the price continues to fall I might have another punt, but I think things will probably be relatively positive going forward so long as Elon keeps his trap shut.
Good luck to all those who held yesterday, I don't think yesterday's drop will be particularly significant, it could be reversed by end of today or end of the week given daily movements. Over the short and medium term there is potential for good gains for people braver than me. I just don't want the risk

Just looked in at BTC to see if the "artifical" boost given to BTC yesterday by Elon Musk had worn off, but instead found BTC up and flirting with 47k.
We should have a respectable day, at least 1% up at the end of the day. Gla
Personally speaking I don't think ramping or deramping actually affects the sp in any meaningful way.
Of the 2 I think rampers are the bigger threat, not because they actually succeed in boosting the sp (I belive the efectiness of the reddit crew is the exception and not the rule, and thier silver squeeze hasn't worked very effectively), rampers are a threat because they influence people to make them take risks they wouldn't ordinarily take and get tricked in to buying the shares the ranpers are selling at the same time the rampers are making their big claims about easy money.
Good to see BTC floating around 39k again not at all sure I belive the big claims for ARB sp though.
It might open in auction at £1 today, but it will drop within the first half hour. Anyone thinking of buying in today and sees £1 at 8am, don't panic, you're not missing your last chance and the boat hasn't set sail.
I am pretty confident that there will be gains this week, but I think the more conservative estimates are the ones to listen too. We have a lot of posters and a lot of hype. That's a perfect combo for rampers and the suckers they exploit.
Do your own research, don't belive the hype, set a entry and exit ponit and have courage of your own convictions. Gla to all this week.
Well I said Musk was as much a risk as a benefit to crypto :(
Got to admit I was put off by the name dogecoin, seemed to close to dog or dodgy for it to go unnoticed.
On a more serious note the fact that 1 person, 1 influencer can cause that sort of disturbance presents real risk for the true value (not price) of BTC.
Nice one Calamari. I am pretty certain I have seen a sucessful landing (it might have been a simulation though, it was some time ago). The spacex rocket will be a big leap forward once it becomes a reliable technology. The disposal rockets like the saturn 5 that took us to the moon were very much of thier time. I suspect its only modern materials and modern computing that has made a reusable rocket possible.
I see this poster is posting a tip about BRH on numerous BBs
Everyone is free to make whatever choices they want, but I would exercise extreme caution with tipsters that post over numerous BBs. They are not doing it out of the goodness of their own heart.
Not too worried about the drop in BTC. What concerns me more is the number posters on here who seem to have thier phones glued to their hands watching the constant updates in the price of BTC. Fluctuations are going to happen. The fluctuations happening over periods of minutes and hours really aren't that significant. Arguably not great, but if people genuinely belive they need to know the price of BTC at evey moment least the a*se drops out of BTC (and consequently ARB) then those people have either brought into something unsuitable for thier risk profile (and should sell as soon as they get their money back or make a small profit) or they know or suspect that their is no quality in BTC or ARB in which case they are the dreamers hoping they are going to get away with taking a risk.
I think that there is some quality in ARB and next week will give opportunity for modest increases. I would be very happy to see the big claims if 20-30% or £1.40 realised on Monday, but I suspect they will not be. Don't get suckered in by people making big claims. That's classic pump and dump and they are selling when they are making thier big claims.
As for dogecoin, I see Elon Musk has put himself behind it. Not going to complain about people making gains, but when something is supported by one influencer to this degree it possesses a real 'emporer' s new clothes " bubble. I think Elon Musk is a risk as much as he is a benefit to crypto.
Don't buy because of FOMO Parkboy, there will always be other opportunities in other shares. Difficult to know if ARB still has legs or if its a bubble fit to burst. I don't think this is going to spike or jump up 20-30% on Monday so I recommend sitting back and seeing what happens till you are happy to buy in.
If something moves 20-30% a day it is indicative that it's a bubble, that the company has no real quality and your punt is likely to go wrong. Quality companies grow over time. I am sure someone is going to cite the big jump at the beginning of the year, very true, great result for everyone holding at the time, but that sort of thing isn't going to happen every month. I am expecting growth here, but not all in one go. Good luck with whatever you decide.
I don't think that is a bad thing for BOO. I think I would rather BOO put the Debenhams brand to work and consolidate in light of that aquistion, rather than go on a spending spree. Personally I think friench connection would be a cooler brand to aquire, but I seen other retailers (admittedly high Street stores) brought down by over expansion with an inability to shift enough stock or mange thier creditors
A double top is where an interday resistance ponit has occurred. For example if BTC went to 40k then dropped and then went back to 40k but didn't go above it. Its not something to be dismissed, but this is very much a interday issue. Give it 5 mins and we could still go up or go down. Things like interday double tops are for day traders who will be terrified of any drop short term or long term.
Got to admit words like buzz and hype don't fill me wit confidence. Those are the words of people closing thier position whilst the suckers are buying.
That said what is said on these BBs does not change things much if at all. Looking at BTC/USD it looks like today will be OK in terms of performance with little (relatively speaking) movement either way.
I will be looking in again at 9 once the early morning negotiated trades are done and the day is starting to take shape. If things are looking stable I will be buying in. The important thing to remember when buying in a speculative stock is not to buy because of FOMO.
Iooks like I missed my chance! Funny, yesterday I hesitated to buy as results were pending, but the sp was not moving much. Today I am hesitating because I might have missed the boat.
Oh well see what happens tomorrow, but good luck to those doing well today.
