Yes looks like an RNS tomorrow timed for weekend press coverage plus 3 days of attendance at the BIO conference next week with tre new CEO starting. There’s an open offer for firms and investors to meet the management team. It’s all being primed up.

So with BioNTech offering the equivalent of around 65o a share of that price was for sclp. It’s not near what many would accept here.

More importantly, BioNTech is an mRNA business. Sclp is primarily a DNA plus peptide and mab business. If you are into focus and mRNA, then why buy a dna business unless you want to bury it?

What other bios are into DNA tech? That’s a better fit surely?

Well that’s the Red Top gloom and doom shifted and the path paved for interest rate reductions. Many of the so called predictions have been shown to be scaremongering.

The reality is a more positive view for the country. Yes Employers NI is up but that will lead to some job losses which in turn is inflation reducing.

Interest rates will also reduce further plus transport schemes help infrastructure.

The investment landscape will also change.

Now all we need is some early indications of positive news here.

Most of these tips are written weeks before the publication dates plus most press releases are embargoed.

However with no news between xmas and New Year it’s easier to get headlines then. But who reads them?

Well it seems as if Dec will be ‘pivotal’ one way or the other. If it’s great , then we should expect positive results from scib1, possibly a move to go from Genmab passing the bank on the way and finally the take it or leave it from the unnamed Bio..

then odds are on for the 10th or 17th given that the nearer Xmas becomes, the more matters slow down business wise.

Great analysis. Looking at the German firm he is leaving, what potential synergy is there between the firms? The Germans are into PD1 research which may be an alternative to Merk and BMS products if I get that right.

Glad you have survived. The rumours previously of people communicating messages was on a 1- 10 scale. Now it’s expanded and a few numbers 100 or less seem to come up particularly near closing time. Sometimes these may act as a marker for the closing price. You’re right, the number patterns are too consistent to be chance given dealing costs as a proportion of the total price.

Hi Berm, there’s a massive difference between BioNTech and sclp. BioNTech have had the financial resources and luck. Of course they focus on RNA and sclp on DNA technology with the same T cell goals - high avidity. So it looks like Inan has a point about avidity. Now the question is who wants to transform us or themselves-into a massive biotech?

So why is there no announcement of a live stream? Is that a move to get maximum attendance? Or will it come later?

So given that the next 4 months should be exciting in terms of clinical results and perhaps a deal(s), have I missed the announcement of the AGM? Mid October may reveal some clinical data as LD is presenting so when do we expect the AGM?

What makes this share rise is anything commercial. Of course data will be seen by some as technical. However it is inherently commercial as long as it hasn’t been priced in. The tone of the Annual Report was optimistic and that’s commercial. Roll on 31st Jan or an earlier deal.

So what else could be said in the email without breaching disclosure rules? What about a reply that said? We’re publishing early as we’ll disclose a deal which will require a shareholder meeting to approve?

May as well get the deal done quickly in order for o approve it. What’s the odds?

So given the risk involved for any bidders, there’s not been much discussion here about the structure of the deal apart from 50p to £8 per share.

It’s surely going to be conditional and phased around cash, probably on mileage payments put into some kind of payments vehicle and shares now.

So for those like me who are getting to the end of their lollipop, a quick trade may be the choice. As cash now is better that cash in the future as you can’t take it with you.
