Oil settled lower on Tuesday, tumbling from a two-month high after media reports said the United States and Iran have made progress on reviving a deal restricting the OPEC country’s nuclear weapons development, which would boost crude supply.

Prices plunged on the reports that Russian ambassador to the United Nations Mikhail Ulyanov said significant progress had been made, but losses stopped after he said on Twitter that negotiators need more time to finalize an agreement.

If the United States lifts sanctions on Iran, the country could boost oil shipments, adding to global supply.

I see a notification for a new update on the BB and thinking we have struck the biggest gusher in history and I can call my employer telling them where to shove their job I then see it's you two at eachothers throats again.!!!! Naz? Why do you keep feeling the need to tell everyone how many shares you have? I know I did it once to evaluate what people thought I should do as an experienced investor but you seem to almost have to reassure yourself of your wealth all the time for some reason. Just seems pointless to me really. Please don't think I am personally attacking you in anyway but nobody will care how many or few you have as each persons interest in tullow is only relative to them I think.

well, based on what the oil market just did I don't suppose it's good news for producers at the moment......or am I being paranoid, naive and 'glass half empty' again? Darn it, I do try to be more positive. My therapist is always telling me off for that. Funny, only ever need therapy after buying Tullow and living with her day in and day out. Mummy!

WTF just happened to cause oil to drop so fast? Did the world declare 'peace' or something?

Looks like there will be some fomo this afternoon perhaps. bit of a punt but could be good long term.

Thanks Jmax but it dropped by 1.7p after it was announced this morning, not before.(???)
Now the price of oil is going up again the sp has responded positively.
as we are expecting the refinancing to be confirmed is that already written in to the price too or will we seee an increase if and when it is released?

I think it was but as a complete luddite and amateur I would not have stuck my head above the parapet to announce it was due at a certain time on a certain day. I don't have balls that big!
