Yeah BP, the oil giant made $8.2bn (£7.1bn) for the period, more than double the profit over the same three months last year. BP said it will pay $800m in windfall tax this year, a levy on profits made from extracting UK oil and gas.

Oil firms' big profits are expected to lead to renewed calls for this windfall tax on energy firms to be increased.

I'm just wondering why does my green pennies drop (£400) on the opening at 8am, when the sp went UP.
It ended on approx 76.94 and is now 77.30 and I'm down £400, just does not make sense.
I'm not flapping, just would like to know why this happens. (does not happen in reverse)
