Can anyone explain. If inflation is at 10%+ but banks are lending money at 2.5% interest aren’t they in effect losing 8%+ per year? Why not buy inflation linked government bonds and sit on the money?
I’m going to be building a position here. The cost of living crisis is going to hurt disposable income but will people still want to bowl in a few years when the crisis abates? This will be a long term hold for me.
We’re getting the opportunity to get shares for less than Kuat paid, to clear his loan. He could have kept taking the interest, there was no pressure on him to convert the loan. A bet on Casp is a bet on him knowing what he’s doing.
Thanks for the reply tyrannosaurus, I was wondering because I too bought some more. The comms to us pi’s is terrible because the major players don’t care about the current sp or our opinions. They have let the sp slide and create uncertainty but Caspian must be making good money. At some point Kuat and co will want a pay day. That was my reasoning. Eventually, as we’ve been saying for years, they will want sp appreciation.
Do you mind me asking what made you buy?
So we think it’s the same seller? They’ve offloaded quite a lot now. Why would they sell now?
‘ I almost wish for world war 3’
Never felt as much like a mushroom
Badland that 32 billion will be money coming in regardless of the state of the economy. We need the clean energy, we need energy independence so it has to be a UK company. RR is like a super tanker it takes a long time to slow down and a long time to change direction but once it gets it’s momentum back it’s going to be unstoppable. Mike lives on in our hearts:))
How much are 16 Smr’s worth to RR because that is money on the bank can you imagine the uproar if the Uk Government gave the contract to someone else? Energy self sufficiency is now a priority and net zero means nuclear is pretty much a slam dunk. Accumulate and let RR do its thing.
I’m taking the. Bico as overall positive. I had begin to think they were just going to milk Caspian with the shallows and do the bare minimum to fulfill the licence requirements. Spending this money gives credence to what they have said about not giving up on the deeps. This is money that could have been added to the dividend pot. An A8 flowing rns would put the cat among the pigeons even if it was at a low rate.
On one hand it’s good they still see potential in the deeps, on the other it highlights how bad their communication is with us. I thought A8 was a non starter they must see potential to keep throwing money at it.
It does show that we could get great news none of us are expecting because they haven’t kept the market updated. Caspian is what it is, huge potential undelivered.
There’s a couple of tenders on Bico I don’t really understand. Ones to intensify HF at A8 and ones for a side track on 802.
Totally disagree the west are in no rush they can outlast putin. This will drag on to a stalemate, with Russia controlling the east of Ukraine. Why would Nato get involved? How would Nato win? By invading Russia? Never going to happen imo and Russia now can be in no doubt in a conventional war they would get hammered so they aren’t going to widen the front. Stalemate imo.
Staying put even, I was so close
I personally feel the concert party want to make money here, they know they can’t sell their shares without crashing the sp so dividends make sense. The deeps are dead, they keep mentioning 802 is the last one their committed to. That’s not the language of, its a slam dunk.
In a way this is positive, they are now focused on making $$$ I think they thought they had a boat charter was in the bag. I think it will come, so I’m staying out, they make money we make money.
I’ve got to say this was pretty much what I expected. Apart from the only $1m in bank.
Hype had taken over the last few weeks. I’d have been amazed if some of the numbers being bandied about had come to fruition.
This is all historical, as long as oil stays in its current range they can’t fail to make money.
There are the bonanza events still waiting. A boat charter/ sale or 3Ab getting regulatory approval, would add tens of millions to our Mcap. As KK has said there are questions that need answering, Fortunately the agm is near
I added this afternoon, not the best update but nothing horrendous. Probably good to have got expectations in check.
This is just like in the referendum, no one can be bothered to argue with you. Right or wrong it’s done for the love of god move on, still having to listen to this 6 years later.
I’d say he actually represents 52% but hey ho democracy stinks doesn’t it.
