Think i'll take the gamble ha ha

These were around the 40p mark in Janurary and fell on bad news, if merger is going to take place then these should be around 33p at todays prices so still potential

If the merger was to take place now these would be worth 27p at WTN current value. Has anyone any information about the merger? and does anyone think it will even happen?

this is a big gamble,its one of many that are either going to go down the pan, or come back strong, but over a couple of years. In my opinion if your in here (i am) best to forget about it for a while, and check it every couple of months to see if any of your investment (gamble money) is left.

That is the gamble though, the results could go either way. Hopefully ftse should be on a steady climb now, and all bad news out the way for a while and look forward to many more days like today.

The break even price will only be a percentage anyway, take your example. If you buy at 97.25 and break even is 102.5 then that equates to around 5.5% of sp. although only 5.25p jump. If you pay £9.725/ share then break even is £10.25, although 52.5p difference it is still only 5.5%. Plus the spread is likely to be tighter therefore making breakeven lower. At the end of the day you got do whatever you are comfortable with. GL

All goes on percentages so price doesn't really matter whether £5 or 5 p, if they go up 10% its the same either way

Sold out yesterday with 14% profit, thinking they will dip to around £5.30 before going back up. Agree with you that these have great potential to rise and if im right about drop i'll be straight back in.
