Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
This thread has veered off onto the emotive issue of immigration, but back to the original point, I guess its a matter of perspective. If you are in a great place financially then you can afford to emplore everyone to pay their CGT from your ivory tower. If you have invested savings that you've worked damn hard for, having already been taxed on it once. If you have spent hours researching something, taking on the risk, riding the emotional roller-coaster of investing, then rightly so, you have a right to be creative in how you retain as much of that hard earned cash as possible. If it's good enough for the super rich then it is for us PI's. If you are concerned about paying too little tax, don't worry, the next coming years all our taxes will be going up anyway to pay for Covid.
... does anyone else regret no buying and selling on the routine swing of this share? I understand that we don't want to miss the eventual sale but over the past few weeks we could've made a tidy sum. What's to say this doesn't continue until after Christmas? Easy to say with hindsight I know....
Hi all, my RR. average is 2.88 (good idea at the time etc), I'm looking at cutting my losses but trying to get the timing right. I understand that the RI could bring my average right down but feel as though I don't want to pump any more cash in to something where the prospect of making a return gets bleeker all the time. Is it likely that the best time to sell is the days just before the RI? Thanks
I feel as though Hold until the bitter end is my only option. Yes, they could go down significantly more but its money I could afford to lose (begrudgingly). Otherwise I wouldn't have invested in the first place. Rather risk that then live with regret of selling at a big loss when, given time, they should recover or at least improve.
Hold for Gold? Haven't really got a choice, been on a loss since investing into this. IMO all these 'Great time to buy' & 'good news any time now' brigade are just as bad as the derampers on here. Empty comments intended to swing people one way or the other with no real substance.
