Novacyt’s annual report states that the awards will vest on the third anniversary of the date of grant, subject to performance targets. Payment will be made in three equal tranches on the third, fourth and fifth anniversary of the date of grant, although each may be subject to the “company’s ability to make the payment”. In addition to Mr Mullis and Mr Dyer, a handful of employees are understood to have been granted shares, substantially fewer than the directors, under the scheme. Novacyt declined to comment.

The global market will only be able to source Affimer based products from companies having a licence or relationship with Avacta.
So there won't be "room for many", just Avacta when discussing the use of Affimers.

The German company Biotype GmbH based in Dresden Hellerau is commissioned to produce components for the Corona Virus COVID-19 genesig® Real-Time PCR Test by Primerdesign Ltd.
In order to meet the high demand, the Biotype team produces seven days a week in a 2-shift system.
A daily capacity of 8,000 to 10,000 tests is planned.
A gradual increase in the weekly production volume is already being scheduled.
In addition to its production capabilities, Biotype GmbH provides its worldwide distribution network to bring the IVD assay to where it is urgently needed.
Interested state examination institutes (LUA), test laboratories hospitals and independent test laboratories can order the test kit from Biotype via e-mail.

I don't know why NCYT did not advise shareholders of this clause.

Chrishar, - One other subject we know little about is what R&D projects are now in progress.
We know about trying to make tests work using Saliva, and also that Antibody testing is being co-developed, (17.09.2020 RNS).
But with so much money placed in the coffers each month, we could start many fresh R&D projects, and there is would be no visibility of fresh R&D effort.
The Exsig direct, Exsig Mag and COVID H-T products came as a bit of a surprise.
We all know any company has to keep investing in future projects, but NCYT more than most, as we currently enjoy first movement benefits.

The company have been clear about contracts agreed with suppliers wrt extra production capacity.

They have not mentioned any changes to those agreements, should the amount of product or type of test to be produced change.
Specifically they have not advised any increase to the production facilities we know of, and that's why you and I are confused.

Where is the production capacity for Winterplex or COVID H-T (both potentially huge money spinners)?

My guess would be that one or more of the contractors has these products in production.

Question, - does Novacyt, Lab21, or Genesig have capacity that Primerdesign could (or has) gained access to?

When I signed up to HL many years ago, their promise was that I could sell shares and immediately have the proceeds available to reinvest elsewhere. Perhaps it would be an idea to establish whether this is still their promise.

If response is affirmative, you can then take the matter further.

Unsure where Novartis came from.
I think a Numis valuation will be the opportunity to provide further sales update, but unsure when Numis would want to provide. Perhaps GM will advise Numis when he would like to see their valuation ha ha.

Will GM allow turnover / profits from July / August to form part of this valuation, (Exsig direct, Exsig Mag and COVID H-T, two gene qPCR, and Winterplex initial sales info not released by company). If GM wants sp up by the end of October, then the Novartis valuation could be be the vehicle to announce at least some initial sales.

What are expected timescales for Novartis initial valuation?

Good post, prompting the following observations:

1 Will 70 Million shares have to be expanded to satisfy II's requirements. - We don't need their cash unless we are thinking of a medium size acquisition.

2 Has Numis been hired only because GM thinks this broker could provide him with contacts / skills / information he does not currently enjoy from Angels.

3 "in this market you simply cannot wait 3-6 months to 'earn' money and then expand, you need to do it now" - yes, agree, - sounds like NCYT needs Numis now.

4 There is no panick to do anything just yet, as cash generation is not a problem. The bigger the cash pile, the bigger the plans can become.

I'm asking myself whether the latest T-F instrument offerings are as good as some of the best competitors.
I think this is about trying to keep T-F offerings higher on customers wish-lists.

During a global pandemic, speed of testing is important.
But this trade in offer smacks of loss of market share and FOMO on new sales.

Another way of looking at this appointment is that it suits NCYT and A.N.Other potential partner to have the same broker.
Significant that still retain Office Angels..

It is possible that GM has pulled it off already, and that the asking price (after NDA, seeing the books, and due diligence) is too hot for some interested parties to handle.
Unfortunately that is conjecture.
However, based on sales data up to July and extrapolating beyond, (and no debt), any takeover candidate would need deep pockets.

The present level of automation at Cambridge lab has been operating a while, and NCYT developed the COVID H-T test for use in Cambridge, if not in other Lighthouse labs.

Now it appears that LGC are going to provide a massive increase in capacity for these labs, which might end the need for the COVID H-T test at Cambridge.

If you google "1538 well", (the number of wells in the COVID H-T test), there aren't that many instruments that can operate with a specimen tray that size.

96 and 384 wells are far more common, but not large enough for high throughput instruments.
