Biotype, the German (Dresden) manufacturer and distributor of the COVID-19 CE-IVD test, (RNS 30.03.2020 refers)
is now selling Winterplex.
So that possibly means they are also manufacturing it.

Worth bearing in mind Shaun.
I'm sure marketing / sales will be plugging Primerdesign assay's with any q16/q32/MyGo orders, especially Winterplex.

I'm thinking that with Primerdesign's sales / marketing now behind these instruments,
should we be expecting higher monthly sales anyway.

Another reason to expect higher sales is that any IT-IS order backlog, (a deal killer when instrument purchase was required for immediate use), can be expected to reduce now 1500 units / month (or more) are being manufactured.

q16 = 750* 168 * 30 * £6 = £21.9m per month instead of £18.9m
q32 = 750 * 360 * 30 *£6 = £47.0m per month instead of £40.5m

I think maintenance is in the contract, - so I am assuming that is planned maintenance.
I would assume the NHS knows when stocks are critical and replenishes.
Fair enough, 29 days / month I think, outages amounting to a couple of hours each maintenance day.

My thoughts would be 30days per month.
(Once you have a tool like a q16 / q32 in operation, managers won't accept the chaos that will ensue if you don't have available what you normally have available because it's a weekend.)

It doesn't say, but I am sure PROmate is at least in part aimed at care homes, and addresses some of the training issues of the NPT.

I don't think further Vaccine news will provide an excessive reaction, unless the vaccine is a lot better than this.

Gross margin improving as we speak..

My take is that 5 fold is as much as can be presently achieved, - improving a very poor outlook.
Exports are going to be brilliant in future, and the more instruments we sell, the more assay orders follow.
I'm thinking specifically the q32 / Winterplex combination.

I understand the need to keep a lid on financial information until the required times.
Instead of a large R&D update like this I would prefer a drip feed, as then investors don't get the feeling the company does not want to reveal information about anything.

I guess that is a reminder of many major relationships we have.

If we turn the above on its head we get :
No director buys £500,000 worth unless they are expecting big returns over a short period of time.
Meaning the directors believe there is likely to be a buy out short term.
That gives a totally different perspective, and I'm not suggesting it will happen.
Maybe they are just playing safe, - a kind of 'don't want to be out of this short term' FOMO.

ie Follow the (boards) money.

These three directors & McCarthy bought shares after the announcement of the Pfizer led vaccine test news.
In GM's case he could not have been awarded his phantom bonus this year very long before investing it in more shares.
Maybe the consensus before was to wait for a correction due to vaccine test news.
(I wonder if the scale of the correction surprised the board?).
IMO they may not be the last BoD members to buy shares,.

I'd like to see the next weekly specificity report confirm that our assay can detect mutated virus to / from Mink, and as many other specie that we know can be affected by COVID-19.

What it means to me is that Primerdesign tested these platforms with the stated version of software, any other version may not provide satisfactory results from Primerdesign's point of view. :)
