Yes swapped some shares from oil to LGEN when SHELL was 27.76 and LGEN was 2.18.

Thank you for your comments on this site I mainly watch rather than participate, but value the positive information about LGEN and ignore the playground stuff. We all have a slightly different or varied view of things have a great festive season to All.

Yes agree, especially as the charges are not very good, much more than my stock broker for quantities I usually get.

Agree guys, divi's from holding over the past few years have allowed me to top up during the dips and as HH88 says "when funds allow"

I agree with SD235, I take advantage of the big swings to top up holding from the divis

Just received my letter from EQ about the portal. The charges quoted in the letter are similar to those I have received in the past from registrars to small investors to buy or sell.

Hopefully things will improve in the future.

Hi,

I too have DRIP since floatation, and they are very very slow to my experience in sending the shares (I hold in certificate) and to yesterday the on-line portal showed no addition to my holding. The web-site says 2 to 3 weeks before you receive them. Not sure if I read it correctly but they I think they said the 17th June when you will know on-line.
They have always been slow, my RDSB DRIP shares certificates arrive 2 to 3 days after payment date.

Everybody has an opinion, and all normally make valid points to support there opinion from their own experience and outlook.

I value all the points of view as it helps me make more informed decisions on how and when to invest my hard earned cash.

With hindsight we all would have made our fortunes by now.

I had a DVT ages ago and had no problems being with being given the Astra vaccine. Yes I still have to have my second but am still alive and kicking. Even if I do get a complication (very very very very slight chance), more likely a bus would get me, I think it is right decision for for everybody to have a jab and also should stop this witch hunt of Astra as they are not profiting out of this pandemic unlike all the the others pharma's.

I am along term holder of SLA. If you have not done so have a look their share chat. I have grown my holding by their drip scheme which has worked very well until they cut their divi just now. Not sure how well the the yield will be now be going forward especially the changes they are making. Look at their chat and see recent comments.

Yes, very well put, acrimonious divorce settlements will cause this sort of problem rather than getting things sorted an aggrieved party (from their point of view) will sling mud rather than sort something out they caused in the first place.

I hold shares in the DRIP o grow long term and others for the divi and trade if I wish to, DRIP is the cheapest way to buy shares from my experience. But it only works if you are in for the long term with share rather than just trading on the SP movements

You make a good point Boyobach about keeping a watchful eye managing your holding. I am a long term holder, but when the market moves I buy or sell so that in the long term my portfolio give a reasonable return in both income and growth.

I wish I had been wise enough back in the 80's when BT was £13 pounds !
