Morning.. 3cardbrag, yes the PM is complicit, but that wouldn’t stop him from cutting Baylan loose, in a defence play.. Anyway, I think Baylan should now stay in office – this minister/party needs a mining result, and it’s their move! Imo only atb……………..
Afternoon.., Well, maybe.. I wouldn’t say that Baylan’s position is secure! Far from it..He is an easy target for attack now, as we have seen, re a very important issue - mining jobs, tax revenues etc, and worse, any trust in him by a number of CEO’s has gone, who may very well provide heavy ammo for his political opponents.. The politics have changed over recent months..The PM wouldn’t hesitate if the heat comes.. Imo only.. atb………..
Suzy2, the suspicion was, the referral to UNESCO looked to be more political than professional, and then, UNESCO’s comments confirmed that suspicion to many onlookers. From what we do know, should this all be tested, I do not see UNESCO’s suggestions/ recommendations to be any match for the Mining inspectorates recommendation report.. What’s clear is, nothing in UNESCO’s comments should change BEM’s position – on the wider! Imo only atb…
Afternoon.. Gentlemen, if you please! What makes BEM special for the wider maket “is” Kallak, and not your, “was” Kallak.. We have all seen UNESCO’s comments, and BEM’s comments in yesterday’s RNS.. You need not be some hot – shot Lawyer to rumble Baylan’s objectives re UNESCO/ Kallak.. This man just got much worse, and is far too sloppy.. A blue day following a catastrophe (“was Kallak”)? Please! Imo only.. atb…
Evening.. If BEM are to deal with UNESCO’s comments, then I think that we should do so when we have its known impact! KB should now call for a decision within a strict timeframe, let this Government make a decision (no excuse now), together with their recorded comments on how they arrived at that decision, only then, BEM may have to make comment re UNESCO, and a whole lot more.. If they deny the concession, then let us deal with those reasons given.. We have been told that the proposals are good, so put it to the test! Obviously, BEM’s legal team with have a much better grip, but our opinions come free lol…
Ibjj – do calm down now, today’s rag looks like the work of Enid Blyton…
atb……………………
Evening.. treetop, No, you used the correct term first time! “centre right” is a BS handle used by the likes of David Cameron and Theresa May who are ashamed of the Conservative party’s founding principles.. The Westminster ilk, if you will, are devoid of any quality, and we all suffer badly as a result of their failed policies.. I do fully appreciate that you never intended to promote anything “swivel eyed” in your 20:24.. The western/developed world’s response to the CCP and its handling of covid makes my blood boil, but this BB is not for that purpose, so I was wrong to bring it up..
Back to BEM.. We do not want any recommendations coming from UNESCO at all.. We do not want to be in a situation where we may have to challenge any adopted recommendation(s) attached to any award of concession, or that the objectors feel that they have grounds to challenge, because any same had not been adopted.. There is a lot riding on this, and I do not believe that a senior Government minister would involve others without retaining at least some control over its outcome.. I see it as a money – play, and that the Greens are complicit.. imo only atb..
treetop, No, I cannot blame Baylan for what went before.. As for a “right - wing Government”.. Steady now!!! You could get a knock at your door if Sir Nick Clegg Knows what you said..The so - called right – wingers, you mean those gutless bsd’s who didn’t even ask for any assurances re the future from the CCP.. Far too busy arresting pensioners for taking their dog for a walk, miles from any other being, whilst we continue to dress like a fxxxxxg pitbull.. Right –wingers my axse they are! Best…
Suzy2, of course Amanda Palmstierna would say that! … If you had only 4% of public support that was on the slide, you’d find yourself doing the bidding for others also lol… The fact is, a number of CEO’s are not at all happy, and they know exactly who to blame – Baylan! If there’s no change from the Government, these same could become most vocal, when it has the most impact.. Should that happen, the PM/Baylan can forget about any ideal they may have had re Kallak, their focus will be on damage – limitation.. No one should appreciate that more than KB.. The CEO’s want a change in policy, not necessarily a change in Government.. Lofven, has a straight choice on that, imo.. I do think that a decision will come within weeks, this Government needs to deliver, to turn the mining tide!,, Not to mention that they have been useless on a number of issues..
treetop, All main parties across the West are now pro – Green.. The Greens who have nothing new to offer, both, run with the fox, and hunt with the hounds, just to sniff power.. They promise you paradise, then want to increase tax on your drinking water FFS…. no one is listening anymore, the wealthy left-wing Hollywood hypocrites have helped with that.. Just 4% public support speaks for itself... Anyway, would any die – hard Greens really expect a miner to extract say, half a billion tonnes of iron ore from Mother Earth, and that no one will hear, see or smell anything? Its all BS…. Its only an opinion.. tb…….
Morning..
Pocko - Thank you for the information.. The mining application[s]/permit[s] debacle will become a real political issue in the coming months, imo.. The PM will need to sort it! Now, is a good time!
treetop - The Green zealots responsible for the delay[s] ? I will never buy into that! Do you think that the Greens would be difficult if BEM had an MOU with a German steel mammoth, in respect of Kallak’s 71.5% bootiful clean ore lol ? Nor me! It must be Concession first, then anyone interested, can put their hand into their pocket – down to the elbow would be a good start lol… Imo only atb…………………..
Afternoon.. “19 Million Tonnes”?.....Lets see now - 19 Million@ say $50 P/T Net? = $950 Million…… 828 Million shares in issue = $1.147p/s…. And today’s S/P is 0.415P, having got the backing from the MI years ago! 0.415 is the reflection of the Government’s meddling, and that means you Mr Baylan – Minister for innovation and enterprise, in a pro – mining Nation, is a little fib!!!!.... “Green transition”? Investors in the Kallak project are climate – justice warriors. What more do you want I wonder? Now swallow you medicine man - “Concession first”!!! lol..atb……
Evening. Stefan Lofven will want to lead a party that is pro – mining/ pro – Green mining into the next election (miming concerns the Swedish voter).. Today, they are seen as neither, a positive decision on Kallak would provide both.. We do not want any recommendations from UNESCO, because it’s not a matter for them.. Imo only atb..
Evening.. DAZBEST 1, agree!
Ibjj “debate” ??? You don’t welcome debate! Anyone who thinks that KB is doing his best in very difficult circumstances, you claim that they are deluded..That comment closes any debate, and you know it! BEM’s proposals gets the recommendation for the concession to be granted from the MI, and you fail to make any mention of, in your “nothing to do with Budge” piece yesterday?
Here’s one to debate, KB, in S Africa said something like, LKAB are the natural owners of Kallak, but we want the concession first.. No one on that day made any mention of Kallak’s future, so why did KB feel the need to say those few words?
That said, much what you say about Baylan is wholly justified, Imo.. All imo only atb…
Afternoon.. TheFarEnd, SP prediction is very difficult, difficult even for those that can demonstrate good form.. However, where I disagree with you is, on making a “like for like” - Market cap/70p.. Yes, we back then had only 200+ M shares, compared with today’s 800+M shares, however, in respect of the remaining risk, should BEM be awarded the concession, a completely different investment would then be on offer!
Any award for N.Kallak, would set precedent for S. Kallak (lager, although unmeasured)..
Nothing is fully measured, so we keep to what we do know! What we have been told by KB is, 250 M Tonnes would support mining production for 25 years (10M Tonnes P/A), or more if S. Kallak is mined..
Kallak(s) contains Millions of Tonnes of super high – grade with low impurities..
As you know, a premium is paid for each Tonne of high – grade ore sold, ranging from say, $5 - $40 P/T.. The total cost P/T to mine could be as much as $25 P/T imo.. Rio Tinto for example, have got this down to $14/15 P/T, but we cannot compare like for like on this, Australia is a huge country, and Capital investment by the miner is also huge, with the aim to lower energy - production costs to an absolute minimum.
My understanding is, that any production capacity re Kallak will be governed by the Environment court (permits), however, should Kallak one day, be in a position to offer say, eight million tonnes P/A to the market, at say, again, with an average net - take of a low $50 P/T, Those figures do look good, even when the unknowns will have to be discounted in respect of any JV or other…
My point being, the increased number of shares is a big consideration for investors, but the investment then on offer, would be very different, and with BEM’s future secured, plans for Kosovo and Finland would be actioned much sooner.. It would be factored in imo… All imo atb…
Evening.. TheFarEnd, lbjj has said many times, that the Government will never make a decision.. Never??? Never, is a long time TFE.. Anyway, if we are granted the decision, and KB seems happy with it, I want to see if your prediction of a 14p SP get smashed to fook’in bits.. Ya I do,, lol.. atb………………..
3cardbrag! Perhaps a JV to supply the big boy’s clients with some super high – grade, as their own ore from deep mining, is now of a lower grade! High grade comes from being nearer to the surface, that’s why posh people drive their spider’s with the top down – they smell of reindeer xxxx…. lol.. Imo only atb…………………………..
