Great news. Glad it says production capacity (per week) for the ABC test is 200,000 by November & not overall capacity. Price is higher per test & itf the government want them all then that's a massive vote of confidence in the product. No doubts now that a consortium will be put together for Antigen.
I still think it is too early in the pandemic cycle to roll out the antibody test hence why the government is stockpiling & storing the test for next year. It will give them amazing positive newsflow that they set up the consortium, had the tests being made in the background & it is an all British effort. However the hard bit is done now. A government purchase is massive when marketing this test worldwide. Omega are masters at export & distribution, with channels very well established globally.
Mologic or Avacta. Does not matter. There is no monopoly. If one company could produce a billion tests a week, it still wouldn't be enough.
How does it make it useless then EGTP? Not having a dig, genuinely interested in your reasoning?
Doesn't matter either way, both will get there in the end. As long as a test is accurate, demand will always be higher than supply for any they can get their hands on.
Or, let them do their thing. Have faith in your research, projections & top up at a price you see is artificially undervalued.
Yes same. My core holding remains untouched but have been trading a small amount on the swings, thus bringing my overall average down. Done quite well on the trading side BUT I will get caught out one day when this takes off on big news & I accept that.
Wonderful start to the week. Nice little top up. Feel sorry for panicky sellers & a little guilty being able to buy at this price based on a non article.
Found the post from the 17th September (below):
My company sells bits and pieces to dentists. I contacted CIGA healthcare (official reseller for the product)
I'll copy parts of the response to my enquiry to buy below:
"The tests we have available are professional use only antibody tests, does this meet your requirements? How many tests do you require?
In October we will have a new product available, the ABC Covid-19 IgG/IgM antibody test, initially this will be for Professional use only but is due to be CE marked for patient self test by the end of 2020.
This test is the development of a UK based consortium which was set up by the UK government in order to produce a very sensitive antibody test, this has been achieved with a sensitivity of 98.6% and the UK government will be taking the first manufacture this month. I will get back to you as soon as possible with stocks of our current product and prices."
Next message:
"That will be available for general sale in October, price should be in the region of £13.00 per test but yet to be finalised. MOQ will be 200 tests. I will put you on my list of accounts wanting the test and I will get back to you as soon as it becomes available."
Didn't somebody receive a reply from a representative of the RTC (after enquiring about orders) that they were developing an Antibody test that tested for IgM as well as IgG due for release later this month?
It's very serious. I saw a comment from him earlier in the week along with a lecturer from Bristol University. It made me question my research & when we dropped I wondered if it was linked. Thankfully I trusted my research & the counsel of well informed posters on here & in the end increased my position. I wonder if there were others that didn't.
Bang on WPA5, i make no apologies about being bullish on this one, backed up by evidence. Maxed out my ISA this morning with a final top up of 101.85. Time for my lovely wife to open up an ISA.
Not sure if they are for our kits, but the demand is there.....

Just got in. Wow. This is the part in the play where we are on the sidelines. We let others do what they do. Mighty looking forward to the bow at the end.
Can't buy £300 worth haha. Comical.
If only we were experts in exports & distribution.

Great they have re released it, especially with the sub heading "UK Government Contract". Should drum up a bit of business.
