Skier, Very true. One example is fruit jams. The EU has a 24% tariff on American jams, yet going the other way the Americans put a 4.5% tariff on European jams.
Why shouldn't they balance the tariffs? They want to look after their economy and people. Unlike here where we sell off virtually everything to foreign countries and cut manufacturing to the bone and just keep importing. The latest being steel making, we £millions in grants to a foreign investor to keep it going, then its shut down.
The rest of the world knows how naive this country is, hence the easy rip off.
