The way the SP is going, I wonder if the Market is already pricing in the 2.24p 2019 divi being released to those from whom it was taken?

67Sam - IMO it's a matter of honour - if I told you in 2019 I owed you a sum of money, would you not expect me to be good to my word?

Ps, I don't argue for myself as I'm still fully invested

Disinform - IMO - it's only right and fair the 2019 'declared divi' is returned to those shareholders from whom it was taken

Disinform - Only the 2019 final was 'declared' - a return for those who had invested in & supported Lloy throughout that year - only right and fair it is now returned to those shareholders from whom it was taken

Disinform - if I was in such a position that I had to ask to borrow money from a friend/relative, watched them struggle while I held their money, I would feel a huge duty to return that money as soon as I could, wouldn't you?

Full disclosure - I'm a Private Shareholder Lloyds Banking Group

Dear PRA,
Under your instruction, with the financial impact of Covid unknown the concept of withholding bank dividends to shore up capital was totally understandable, and at that time there were associated comments that dividends should be viewed as being 'delayed' rather than cancelled,
With the announcement yesterday that restrictions are now lifted, would you consider it only right and fair that investors on the register at that time should now receive the dividends that had been formally declared?
