With us being close to a potential swap or monetisation I would have expected more than a poorly languishing share price.
Is it that noone particularly trusts our highly esteemed leaders to do the business; are our drill successes really not that great; are potential new investors thinking they'll be excluded from any upside following an announcement; are we considered to be in a bad negotiating position bearing in mind zero income and therefore a likely poor deal....
All of these are clearly unknown but the treading water with the share price is baffling me when we are so close to the envisaged timescales.
Assume there are many more potential issues that may be holding the SP back.
Very decent update for me in the current climate. Key for me is the maintenance of the intention to pay the dividend as previously identified. This is against a fairly sharp divi cut by PSN and therefore in my view is a good sign of company strength going forward. On the up!
Have to say WWP that i agree with many of your points.
As i recently mentioned i can't see a huge queue of potential buyers for Kveikje. I remember it was originally downplayed when the drill result came in and now it's going to change our fortunes. It's our only short term hope to try and monetise it.
We'll have to wait and see and i keep my fingers crossed but i don't think we are in a great negotiating position with anyone that does want it
The very significant problem here is that any potential buyer of Kveikje (be it in cash or swap for production) will know of our current financial predicament and therefore we are far from being in a good negotiating position to extract value.
