Cashed out, with a substantial loss. The offer price is not going to be improved, this is a done deal, so decided to go now and invest in something that will hopefully make back some of my losses over time.

I agree, I too want to join the £15k paper loss club, as a long suffering shareholder bought most of my shares in the heady days when they were consistently trading in the 20's, now a distant memory. I have been forced to keep buying, just to get my average down, to somewhere nearer today's reality. Yes it is frustrating and the BOD could alleviate that frustration somewhat, by re-instating the dividend.

I have just bought another 1K @374 to average down. As a long term investor with MCRO, I am dismayed as to how this SP could have performed so badly, regardless of everything that is going on at the present time, remember it is the same for every other company out there. I have been invested in this company for many years, as a result I feel the need to average down and hope for a steady recovery. Everything that has gone wrong with this company, started with that ill-fated merger with HPE. The management of HPE, obviously saw MCRO coming and could not believe their good luck, I t was a masterstroke to offload and at an extremely high valuation. The same had happened to them, when they got stung by Autonomy. Now the BoD need to sort this out, one way or another, if it means dumping the HPE business for whatever they can get for it.

Thanks for that seadoc and I will try to download and read the recommended publication. After some thought, I decided to buy more at sub 50p and so far it appears to have been the right decision, time will tell.

I am heavily committed here already and naturally I am currently showing a substantial loss. I first bought in at around 20p years ago and subsequently added as the SP rose and the news seemed to get more promising. My average is now around 78P on my 25K holding. Question, is anybody thinking of buying at these depressed levels and maybe averaging down, or do you think the shorters will make hay and drive SP lower. I don't intend selling, to realise a loss, not yet anyway as I do not think, the news is all gloomy. All chipmakers are suffering at the moment.

A new United Carpets store is opening in Bristol, I believe it is their first in the South and west, it was a Maplin store in a previous life (now defunct). I hope UCG are more successful and profitable.

I think you maybe right, last time I was this far underwater was during the great recession, ten years ago now. There is no earthly reason why so many good companies are down so much, apart from sentiment, If you can call that a reason.
I have been steadily reinvesting all my dividend payments, as is generally accepted as good advice at such times,only to see the share prices sink further.
I reckon, I will finish up this year at least 60K down compared to last end of year, with no upturn in sight. I know there are some investors out there a lot worst off than me. Worrying times for sure. Christmas has been cancelled this year.

Bought in today @118 after being out of this share, for a few years and regretting it. today's price is a good buying opportunity for an investment in a company that offers growth and a good dividend.

Received notification today from Barclays, the dividend is on its way, Barclays are always the last to pay, otherwise a good service if you can put up with their deficiency

Added to my holding today and find it has come up as a *sell* not to worry, but I do note there is a sea of red today and I wonder if all those apparent recorded sells are indeed buys.

Reluctantly sold my entire holding in XLM today, I am sure many investors here will not understand, but for me the episode with Globo is still fresh in the memory, will wait and watch from the sidelines. 50 percent profit, happy to bank it while I can. GLA

Hargreaves Lansdown have given a good write-up after their results were impressive. Suggested they are a good medium to long-term investment and I agree, plus they pay a good dividend. As far as REITs go, I value this investment trust as highly as BBOX

Seems an offer is on the table from Axa for around £7, saw this on Bloomberg, If true, will be sorry to see this one go, has been a good dividend payer over the years.

Just sold my holding which I had from few years back when they traded at 57, with current SP achieved, got full amount including dividend, without having to wait for them to pay me off, , obviously priced to tempt more to sell now. Happy with my return of over 200pc. Wish all my investments were this successful. GLA
