Any ideas about whether you can trade on foreign stock markets through halifax ie ASX. or would I require a foreign broker. Interested in buying some of Jupiter mines which is partially owned buy RGM/RRR?

What makes you think that a takeover is imminent here? Is this just a gut feeling or is there some more concrete information available. Also where are you pulling this nav 53p price from? Must say I a little confused?

Thanks MSKA. I was reading your posts earlier about when you started to invest. I too back in 2008 on the back of the crash hoping to captialise on the cheaper prices, which I have achieved with moderate success. I now have a good feel for the aim markets but havent, but still struggle with fully understanding the markets as I havent read many technical books in particular miners and oilies when detailed RNS's are released. I saw you mentioned that you have read some books in sharedealing, of the ones you read can you reccommend any in particular. Many thanks

Also I use halifax and find them rather expensive, thinking about swapping to something else but not quite sure, any ideas. I would like a service that provides a stop loss facility and such like as halifax doesnt provide them? (do they)

In Brazil at the moment mate so thought id check this out. Havent invested, the elections are forth coming over here with the left (labourist) party expected to win. The expect to continue to narrow income distribution etc. However under them the economy is growing rapidly. Dunno what if any impact this will have on the share. Just gettinh the board start. Any knowledge on this one
