Totally agree and been using the local chap for about 5 years now for my X3 he worked for BMW for 25 years
Local specialist is the way forward

Bad news with the jag, old saying “ if it’s got t*it’s or tyres it’s trouble”
But seriously I used to take my BMW to Sytner’s for service and repair but I found a local specialist who can do it all for a fraction of the price, they can reprogram it and update the fob after servicing, my transfer box was playing up so thought a couple of grand here but they stripped it down serviced all the parts it was like new and they only charged £180 for labour
Might be worth looking around your area, if you are on FB look for jag specialist pages near you
