Stamp duty on shares purchased in the UK are 0.5% while in Ireland they are 1% as Aex are registered in Ireland they fall into this band, there is no stamp duty on AIm shares usually.

Why feel sorry there has been 6 years of opportunity FWIW even today's price will look like a bargain soon.

It must be tough being a professor with a large portfolio a fleet of vintage cars properties in France etc etc etc, I'm surprised you have any family life after all the effort and time spent on Aminex.
