I would find it hard to disagree with you, ive a lot at stake here and it does reek of a bit of sneaky move here by the management. Im trying to think off a positive spin but at the end of the day; 23/12/14 in Toronto seems like they have something to hide.

I probably over reacted but if you check the sedar report it will tell you it is $12m up front to complete the pfs. There is 5000m of drilling ongoing at present im not sure if this is included in the cost of the pfs.

5m is not a lot when $12m is needed up front for a pfs at woodstock, along with more finance for further drilling at the Pennines and Buchans.

It looks like we are about to be stitched up. The amount of shares sold recently was concerning, having the agm on the 23 Dec in Toronto is an insult to shareholders. Have they share dilution etc in mind to raise finance?

Rumours of a "pfs on tuesday and its bullish" from a poster on advfn, never heard from him before, and no idea how reliable he is; but it would explain the delay in the agm etc.

If minco were looking for a good news story to piggyback the agm on, they would have done it on the back of the last rns and drill result from Buchans. The delay in having the AGM suggests to me there is something signifigant going on behind the scenes. We will hear drilling has resumed at the Pennines, but Id guess something is going to be announced regarding either Buchans or Woodstock, either a jv or possible sale with a likely chinese input. Just a guess on my behalf but it does feel like there is something going on we have not heard yet. And yes the sells over the last few days are a concern too.

I dont think thanksgiving is any reason for the lack of movement in minco. Rather the delay in announcing the a date for the agm and the uncertainity it creates. Market rules dictate that an agm must take place within 15 months of the previous years agm. That means Mincos agm should take place before 26/12/14, one month from yesterday, how strictly this is enforced or adhered to I am not so sure.

I wouldn't invest any money on my hunch, but there does seem to be something bubbling in the background, its unlikely to be our Xtierria investment, the Pennines project is currently suspended because of the shooting season. It could possibly be news from Dalradian or possibly the exploration Navan but more likely I think there have been developments in woodstock or Buchans in my opinion.

The Agm is to take place before 26 dec, so an announcement on the date, venue etc is likely next week. Because of the delay in holding the agm, there is a suspicion that there are behind the scenes negotiations on one of the canadian projects, we might hear details of a jv at woodstock or buchans, a possible tsx listing, purely speculation at the moment but there does seem to be some sort of suprise package in the near future. Personally I have a hunch and its only a hunch that woodstock could be sold. The capex is out of Mincos range by a long way, there is a 5000m drilling program going on there at the moment, we were not told where in the mine the new phase was concentrating on. But Minco have 3d photos off woodstock and a large area of the site is unexplored so far but according to the 3d photos there are areas likely to have a high concentration of manganese, this is possibly were the drilling is taking place at present in the hope its increases the potential lifespan of the exsisting discovery. An article in the mining journal some months ago hinted strongly at a chineese interest in woodstock so who knows??. Time will tell.

It could be march before we get drilling results from woodstock. More drilling is planned for Buchans but no details were revealed regarding the commencement off the next phase of drilling there.

who is the seller? Since the last rns there is someone selling almost daily, and not insignifigant amounts either.

Id imagine Minco would give the shareholders a months notice so maybe a bit later 15-17 Dec. Im just eager to hear the plans for the next 12 months, finance arrangements, possible jvs etc Minco cannot take buchans, woodstock and pennines to next level as things stand without funding from somewhere

The only way we will see a rise in sp is if there is a new rns released. I wouldnt expect to hear from pennines as it is suspended for the rest of the year, xtierra is on its knees, it could be March before we hear from woodstock, there is 5000m phase of drilling there and could be worth waiting for. I dont know what the immediate plans are for buchans, but more drilling is planned but unlikely to hear much in 2014. The AGM has to take place before 26/12/14, if there is a good news story there thats the only spike in sp in the short term that I can see.

Am I mistaken in thinking that a company's agm must take place within 15 months of the previous agm. If im correct it should take place before 26/12/14, considering that is christmas week it should be the week before at the latest. A months notice would usually be the normal courtesy, so should we expect to hear details of the agm this week, or next week at the latest?
