It’s a great RNS indeed.
Remarkable thing is this is still trading at little over 1/3 of it’s pre-Covid price. Massive upside still to come.
This is one of the biggest dogs in my portfolio having bought over 60p.
Why on earth i didn’t get out when it hit 90p in early June is beyond me...it’s lost approx 50% since then :(
Hey ho I’m holding this now until either A) it turns into profit or B) I lose the lot.
Think SNR still has decent enough prospects in the long run?
I’ll certainly second that chas!
Bought KMK last Thursday, PTRO on Friday and a PTRO top up first thing this morning. Result between the two is £6k up in the space of 3 days! What an amazing start, thank you surprised. The donations will definitely be coming when we start cashing these bad boys in :)
Ps surprised - I completely agree about the psychology of investing. My worst trades have always been done when a stock goes down and emotion kicks in, making me sell when in reality doing so is a bad idea......trying my best to kick this habit!
(Please ignore previous version which had a zillion typos and got sent before it as ready) Well this dropping back to below opening price has to be the biggest shock on the UK markets today.
I can only imagine some people knew this is why coming, which is why the price rose to over 130p in the first place.
Strange goings on.
Still the COVID loans news re-emphasises that the business is indeed facing a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" to quote the last trading update (which wasn't even talking about COVID loans!) Only a matter of time before the market truly recognises the potential here and we're back over £2 and knocking at £3.

Wow you're not kidding. What great timing after I bough Friday and topped up this morning!
Thanks for the response chas. I know what you mean, I have to be selective too in my ISA as there's limited funds available in there. Just added PTRO to the ISA today (the rest is filled with my own selections, whcih I don't want to sell).
Fortunatley i have more flexibility in my SIPP as there's more to play with in there. So I've managed to buy KMK, PTRO, TPG and took a stake in CPX there today too.
Interestingly, my SIPP already included NEX, REDD and CAML, which are 3 of his other tips, which meansI now have a stake in all but one of them!
Going forwards, I will aim to put a standard stake in each new one that comes up :)

Only one direction this is going in guys :)
Nice one chas :) Are you in on all surprised tips?
Interesting you’ve been watching PTRO since June surprised!
I only started investing seriously since February (the timing of which couldn’t have been worse with COVID hitting the market literally the day after I went “all in” - but that’s another story.....). In in the limited time I’ve been doing this, I’ve generally NOT been a patient investor. Once I’ve found a share I like, that’s it, I tend to want in ASAP. I hate sitting on the sidelines, seeing a share I wanted go up, while I was twiddling my thumbs! This feeling of “lost opportunity” actually feels worse to me than buying a share and then watching it go down! What you do must take real discipline.
Chas - I’m definitely up for making a donation when I start banking profits (so far just have the paper one on KMK). I agree it’s a great idea to give something back to say “thank you” so will join you in this :) Cheers
Thank you very much for the comprehensive reply surprised :)
Out of interest, do you have a number of shares that you’re watching closely, waiting to buy if it hits a target entry price? Or does your “pipeline” work another way?
Thank you for the comments on the shares too. I may top up On PTRO if I can still buy at under 40p again next week!
CPX seems like its worth a punt although I’d be happier if was buying closer to 4p than 5p so will have to see how the price plays out on that one too.
EKF I’m going to avoid as I generally feel it’s late in the day to be buying “Covid stocks” now. Surely they only have so far to run before a correction back down begins (although admittedly have no idea quite how far they will go before that happens)
All the best and thanks again!
I saw the rise back up as just a partial correction of the over-reaction we’ve seen to the going concern risk.
Little over a month ago we were at over 70p, so a rise from the mid 40s to mid 50s doesn’t strike me as very meaningful in its own right. What we need is for confirmation they’ve sorted the bond refinance and then we should see a large recovery and hopefully return of momentum back towards £1 again. Fingers crossed.
Sorry didn’t mean to post the “ Well they’re quite ckear” at the bottom of that message. Wish they had an edit facility here like on ADVFN!
Couldn’t agree more, have been holding these around 6 months as I’ve always been convinced they will bounce back and the 80% drop from pre-COVID levels was over well over-done. It felt like the market was pricing in a large risk of them going bust, which clearly they’re not.
They actually seem to have been very resilient with ‘just’ that 33% fall in revenues ,despite the much larger reduction in people travelling, and gaining the new business as you say. This now looks an even stronger recovery play than it did 6 months ago; massive upside potential!
Well they’re quite ckear
Thank you surprised, you are a true gentleman. You too chas :)
It’s great to hear you take pleasure from others profiting from your tips. May I ask, is that your main motivation for doing it, or are are there others too?
So, I bought into TCP too today, which leaves just CPX and EKF of your in-play tips that I’m not holding. Both of these are at (or very close to) YTD highs which is why I’ve held off buying. I generally prefer buying shares that have fallen from previous highs and have ground to regain - and the more ground the better! - Do you still consider these 2 good buys at current prices surprised, even though they’re now breaking new ground (for this year at least)?
Appreciated, thanks chas!
I've also noticed how surprised does regular alerts telling us when prices have gone up. Funnily enough, there haven't been any saying when a price has dropped back down hahah....this would actually be useful for anyone looking to buy in on a dip!
Of course I'm not complaining, have made over £2k profit already thanks to his KMK tip :)
Thanks chas. I'm now in (at 2p cheaper than Wednesday's buy price - hurrah!)
Regarding twitter, if i ever start posting anything I'll let you know. At the mo all I'm doing is following one person (surprised) and doing nowt else. Out of interest, is there anyone else you'd recommend following too?
