RE: Synopsis - SBTX rnses re Croda12 May 2023 09:05
Elrico, mol I believe recognises the latent value of the Company and its products but is critical of the current Boards performance in achieving timely and effective Commercialisation. To be fair, I remember one particular interview with yourself following the material miss of the axisbiotix sales target where Stuart was angry at the criticism he received where he pointed out he was not in the habit of missing targets and this was the first time it had occurred and to judge him on his future performance. Well since then, besides the Croda commercial revenue forecasts which have moved from 2022 to 2023 and now beyond, the Acne trial has slipped, and the launch into Europe of Axisbiotix was later than the forecast date, so room for improvement there I would suggest.
mol, that said, using the Croda RNS thread to raise the point about the Board that has been made before was inappropriate. As elrico pointed out, the RNS is extremely positive and exciting as it includes the views of Dr Damian Kelly from Croda who sees "a long and prosperous relationship with Skinbiotherapeutics" rather than Stuart's own observations.
Regarding why the wait until November 2023 before commencing clinical trials, well they have to recruit suitable candidates first and I suspect once the trial dates have been set then we will get to hear about the nature of the Clinical trials via a RNS soon and that will trigger a share price re-rate, after all the anti-ageing properties have already been clinically proven so just imagine what might be important enough to warrant Croda delaying a return on their £5M plus investment
Finally, regarding the additional accounting assistance, don't forget that due diligence also has to be carried out on the books of prospective acquisitions, it is not just about balancing profit and loss accounts for Skin.
