No idea why the below got sent as I was typing. Trading showing a distinct pattern. Slow start, watch the order book and then spank the price down aggressively with volume. Helikon are not covering at the moment for a reason. Put your limits in the order book where you are happy to get hit and be patient. We need positive news to get us moving upwards again.

Amazed that Helikon didn't take the chance to cover more of their short on Thursday. Unless it's not updated yet, they are still short a lump. They must think they will get another chance cheaper than 116p. Would love a FID to change their minds.

It's comforting to see a little relief rally this late afternoon after a trying few days. Clearly the lths on here all got a bit ahead of ourselves. Hats off to Helikon for not buying into the higher prices we all got so excited about, but I bet they will be closing today. In reality though, nothing has changed, I didn't buy in the rally either and I'm thankful for that, it was very tempting. I am lucky to have bought in a fair bit lower and painful as it is, they were only paper profits. Should have sold some and traded it, of course. I am more convinced than ever, that we have a winner here. Stay patient, stay the course, good stuff is coming our way in the medium term.

Who the hell is selling all this cheap stock here? All that extra stock locked away on Friday, Helikon likely still covering, can it really be retail? Makes very little sense to me. If it is professional manipulation today, they are risking a fierce bounce if an rns comes. I wouldn't fancy it.

These are all just late reports. Amalgamated trades for orders the whole day, reported as a block. I imagine that brokers guaranteed the closing auction price. I suspect a lot of traders got burned today, buying during the day and having to sell cheaper at the closing auction.

Another weekend with zero press coverage, the nonsense from Motley Fools aside. When will this be seen as the huge British success story it is?

There are bound to be more bear attacks till the next news flow. Place lower buy limits and be patient. They will get caught out sooner or later.

Feels like we are getting comfy here. LTHs not selling a bean. In fact I think most are emboldened to buy more in any weakness below 160. Shorts are closing, Cowie is bound to write this up sooner or later and crow about his second time round as a multi- bagger, bringing new retail buyers. We are going up the echelons of index buyers. FTSE250 may well be on the horizon. We know we will have RNS fid developments sooner or later. The demand for Hydrogen is exploding. I have 50% plus of my ISA fund in this and it's taking all my self control not to sell other stuff and go all in. Exciting times.

I think there is some confusion as to how the closing auction price is achieved. The algorithm attempts to find the price at which the highest volume can be crossed. If you want to sell a million shares at market, all the buy orders down to a million shares will be filled, earliest first at the lowest limit. There is probably a 5% down (or up) trigger from last traded price, which will cause an extension to the auction. You can't rely on any prematching as people can enter bids and offers during the five minute process. If someone wants to knock the price down, they can only do so by selling more than there are limited, or at market buyers.

People on here give them far too much credence. Their job is usually to execute client orders, keep a low inventory and keep the risk down. Most orders are traded as an agent, not on risk, though sometimes they are asked to make a price for a larger amount. This is taken on risk and it is up to the judgement of the mm how to unwind the position. Some more experienced mms will also have a back book with longer term views on the stock they trade, most do not. If the house analysts have a view on the stock, say after a company visit or news, mms may also load the book in the expectation of client orders. A lot of funds, including hedge funds have direct access to the order book. They of course may be more nefarious in their activities!

Ceres up 4% Bloom up 10% Plug up 13%.... ITM down on the day....looks like manipulation to me too. They will probably have saved some ammo for the close . We need an RNS to blow them away again.

The closing auction today makes no sense. It happened the other day too. Someone wanted to depress the price and did so only by throwing 1.3 m shares away at a price 5p lower than that prevailing for the last hour or so. This is not the behaviour of someone trying to cover a short. We will almost certainly open much higher in the morning. It's all very odd. If traded for a selling client, it was very badly done. All very odd.

When are Berenberg going to update their price target on this? Wonder how high it will be?

I have subscribed to the weekend FT for some time now. When I had a more balanced port folio of stocks I rather enjoyed getting it's take on markets and events. However since going rather gung ho on ITM I keep getting very disappointed by the lack of coverage. This is a big story, yet it has not appeared on the FT's radar at all. It's a good job their coverage of the arts , wine and gardening is so decent, otherwise I'd be off.
