Been there!!

Good morning all,
I have been sat on the sidelines watching you guys in action having a wee dabble here and there.
However I am with you T, making money over the past week has been easy, too easy and I really do not want to be holding the baby when the music stops.
Surely the markets cannot stay this positive with what we going to face over the next 6 -12 months?? But I thought that 1 month ago when I converted my medium - high risk pension fund to cash and have missed out on nearly 20% since.

What is your target buy in price LEF

I have been learning and doing some work on doji candles and t lines.
I need your help.
Have a look a CCL chart please.
On the 16th of May I think there was a dragonfly doji, the following day they gapped it up (indicating a bullish move and wanting to take it in the upward direction)? Can you see that? Is this correct?
Also it is now above the 50 day EMA and bouncing off that during the day? Acting as support?
Am I on the right track or not got a clue :)

Thank you for the reply, yes on and off for the last 15 years, had some cracking days and weeks but the losses far out way the profits. It’s not my full time job so I get caught in the days and weeks highs and lows, and are often on the wrong side.
I dare say I would make more money buying some good cheap shares now, sitting on them for 5 years and enjoy the surprise when I look at them without the day to day rollercoaster and panic buying and selling.
I see you mentioned TLW and like many other oil companies they seem cheap because nobody burning oil at the mo, CCL and IAG you have mentioned will need to start burning oil to get their wheels turning and cash rolling so we find ourselves in a chicken and egg situation.
When the green lights are switched on we going to burn oil then the next tier will start to move, personally I think boats and planes are way down the road yet

“Lows and Highs are for fools and wisemen, the rest of us just fu ck about in the middle”
Accept this principle and you will sleep at night.

There are some good big business out there currently very cheap.
Treacle seems like he has a very good eye for spotting them.
I am interested in your thoughts Treacle on CCL a cruise line company? Traded at £40 now at £9ish in principle looks cheap, if it was a nice jumper you would buy it at that discount.
I seem to recall at the start of the virus cruise ships got hit hard in and around china, the phrase floating Petri dishes sticks in my mind, people touching, sneezing, and coughing all over the all inclusive.
So is the attraction based on the techs, T lines, moch, RSI, or just gut feeling and the reliance on a vaccine being found very soon and business resumes as they were?
Just intreagued to know the attraction??

Been there, got that t shirt many times over and lost thousands, 10’s of thousands.
It is gut wrenching, typically with AIM shares and the crowd’s they attract,
“This is going to bag”
“This will be 20p in 3 months” when sat on 2p
“The MM’s letting this go now”
Blah blah blah.

I have just been reading the various posts and you seem very genuine and almost caring towards other investors which is nice to see on these boards.
You clearly have a good eye for making investments and I would like to explore that further shortly.
As regards your neighbours I feel your pain and anger, however personally I would just note it, stay away from all of them 1 because you do not want to catch it and 2 to avoid any conflict, people and loved ones are dying, we all are or should be scared of this virus and before long people will start to lose their jobs which is an explosive situation and things could get out of hand very quickly.
I am absolutely furious with these governments angry beyond belief, we were slow to act, the messages have been blurred and inconsistent and we have been fed constant lies, blatant lies like we are on a election campaign. An absolute disgrace and the number of people who have died is just horrific.
