T - it says a lot about the world when the best 2 candidates in the whole of America is Trump and Biden and ours was Boris and Corbyn, I mean your just knackered before you start.

My target T is 4500 - 4900 area, I am all cash at the minute (earning me nothing) and will buy 50% at 4900 ish and see if it drops further or make an assessment at that time.

I think the real realisation of a 3 month global lockdown (except the Americans) and very little work carried out is setting in,
Personally I hope the FTSE drops much lower as you may remember I sold my pension at about 5800 and looking for a better entry.

T - this will cost the travel industry 100’s of millions of pounds, literally cancelling summer it will shatter the confidence in anyone wanting to book a holiday this year.

There is more risk of us taking out there than us catching it there and bringing it back especially the islands. I have no intention of going anywhere but all this talk of air bridges and opening it up and then literally 2 weeks in pulling the plug, thousands of families trapped with decision making and who pays the cancellation fee.
Shambolic and more confidence lost in the government- not much left now.

I see we have changed our stance again on Spanish travel - now includes all islands including the canaries. With all this uncertainty markets only going one way.
Why they have stopped travel to canaries when the big problem is in northern Spain beats me??

Hi T, to be honest I think they will be safer actually, especially on any of the island's than over here.
I cannot help think its a political spin to keep the brits in England spending their furloughed money here. instead of taking it to spain.
My brother went to Cornwall on Saturday in a caravan, biked into Padstow yesterday and said it was absolutely rammed - no social distancing, people queuing for ice creams and fish and chips outside with no masks. felt uncomfortable and got out of there.

My friend booked a holiday for the whole family 2 weeks ago to Spain thinking everything was ok, he flew out on Saturday, I had a text conversation with him yesterday - he is fuming, he has only just returned to work after being furloughed.

In my view the travel sector will get hit hard initially.
Did anyone see this coming with Spain?? Only 2or 3 weeks ago they opened everything up - but not Portugal?? Now bam.
Tui will get hit hard I think, maybe over reacted?? Morally right to cancel and save life’s but the rest are gonna keep going to Spain.
