The government are supporting house price increases with their changes to stamp duty - besides most MP’s are landlords.
Their is huge investment coming from London and oversees for the HS2 routes, investors are land grabbing and property grabbing in the hope that London money will make its way up north.

Not all landlords are greedy, I have several properties.
I have 1 property with a hospital porter in, I have not increased his rent in 4 years and I will not increase it in the next 4 if he wishes to stay there.
The bad landlords are getting pushed out and rightly so.
It’s going to be interesting, higher wages will lead to higher prices in time, however the next couple of years with cost of living and higher taxes incoming a 10% fall seems inevitable.
Having said that demand is still bonkers especially in the north.
