As far as they're concerned it's been a success as they've had 11 years wages, the sp and shareholders don't even come in to it, they will only take notice when shareholders finally find a backbone and vote them out or the company goes bust.

Mick, to be honest if I was Lombard I would definitely take ceg to court, liquidate it's assets and get repaid that way.
I would do this for two reasons, (1) so I'm repaid what I'm owed as agreed and (2) to show as a lesson to other companies to not try the same trick and to pay their debts on time.

I bet virtually all companies that have gone bust in the last few years also had the same "company has a going concern for the next 12 months" in their Interims, if ceg can't service or restructure their huge debts then they will be gone within the year, no question.

If no Interim's by 7am Monday then I can definitely see the share getting suspended and Covid can no longer be used as an excuse as they're already had two extensions. I fully expect them to be an absolute basket case, Monday's going to be interesting :-0

"Going into Suriname once Covid allows" there's no money to do it until the £15M dilution is completed, which is doubtful
"work at Trinity Innis" soon to be taken off ceg's hands as they have defaulted
"Seriously look at all the positives" there's literally no positives here unless you're a board member getting paid for doing nothing.

DaProphet "If only I'd invested in ADV" we've all been there, in my case many years ago I almost invested a substantial sum in SML instead I went with another oil company which just stagnated, had I bought SML (my finger did hover over the buy button at one point) I would have made a £1.2M profit within six months.

Two thing's I've learnt in this game, first is always bank profit and if you never sell then you will probably end up like the guy on another bb I frequent who has seen a £2-3M paper profit turn in to a loss, and secondly be prepared to sell at a loss if a company is badly run (like here) then reinvest the proceeds somewhere better.

Thanks Vas for highlighting that 10,000 stores has never been mentioned in any rns's, maybe the bod can wake from their slumber and inform the market as to the true number of stores (my guess is under 2,000).

At the end of the day all it takes is just one creditor (of many) to go to court to recover their debt and make ceg bankrupt, they obviously have far more debts than assets and still need an additional £15M to service those debts and future operational costs, so technically they are insolvent.
At some point soon those debts will need to be paid and until they are ceg really is on a financial cliff edge. They probably only have two options left, death spiral funding by a wonga lender (Darwin) or more likely massive dilution at a huge discount of the current sp, either way it's not going to be pretty.
