It is a good outcome really given the damage to the Dubai brand. I suspect that EK would have kept paying but this is more uncertain for me than Covid was - DXB came out of Covid better than it went in.

But am really a bit sorry to see it end - my biggest holding for the last three years and now I need to think again.

It’s just a tiny bit hard to take you seriously if you are called IAGlongterm but are not invested. But hey - each to their own

Am at t5 right now. It’s heaving. IAG in robust shape and not at all like Delta. Post results this is cheap as chips. May go cheaper but that would be nothing to do with the business. Algorithms and fear playing a role but long term value creation is happening.

This is nice context from an industry expert (not a financial analyst). IAG is doing very well as a business. Market may weigh down in short term but if it keeps delivering then the price will rise and the analysts today are undershooting

It’s not practically correct. The way they calculate charges on investment trusts is bonkers. In reality the yield is after charges. And it’s more than is shown on most sites (it’s 8p on 50p - 16%)

Welcome aboard. Feel like this has legs and it has only done very good things for those who bought in the last two years. 5 years is another matter. But still skewed to upside for me!

Not had a problem lately. It doesn’t have a huge market size but at the moment no worries in terms of buying - I have a lot and have not had any trouble selling or buying 50 - 100k
