I am not in RBS at the mo but wish you guys lots of luck - the SP is rising well no doubt due to the report that Santander wants to buy 300+ branches of RBS ? Regards and GL
I am still around and watching close - sold out AAL with about £4K profit finally - baffled by the SP at the mo - seems to be up one day 5% and down next 5% - I am tempted to buy back in on down days and sell next day ! A stake of £10K would yield £500 every other day ! Good theory and very good level of SP at the mo - one eye on BREXIT so have most cash in BARC - after end June I think BARC & AAL will recover well - VERY undervalued at the mo IMO ! Regards and GL with your own plans
about 612p at the mo GL all
at opening - someone is confident ! Nice start to the day - hope we can finish on 10% UP - make up for previous losses ! Regards all and GL
Looks like a really good recovery by AAL at the finish - we are overdue a bit of luck soon on the SP - I keep looking at the 805p on 20 April and multiplying it by my shareholding - keeps the faith going ! Perhaps if the Chinese stopped buying up the Americas and Europe and Africa they could sort out their own back yard ! Like the Suadis now the Chinese are buying big into foreign lands at knock down prices, then when the global recovery sets in and we are all booming again the Chinese and Saudis will cream off the profits ! Regards all - surely tomorrow we will finish UP for a change ?
Looks like AAL is trying to do its usual late break back upwards - more power to its arm ! Regards all - hope you were able to buy some more at the low today.
as yesterday - SP will go sideways until the DOW opens - if the DOW is up we should see a rise this PM ! Still convinced that until after BREXIT and the Chinese and Japanese sorting out their economies and someone gagging Janet Yellen we will not see our SP power back up to the 800p + level. Regards all - keep holding and adding if you can at this low SP
After 3 years and at a cost of £5 million CAM's mates have come to the conclusion that there should be no change to big banks workings - hence the huge jump in big bank SPs today - jobs for the boys ! Never mind - miners down today so must be up tomorrow - it's Buggin's turn in the barrel ! LOL Regards all - best of luck for us all tomorrow
amazing how a few words from foolish top people who should know better can wipe billions off share prices world wide - perhaps they are massively shorting the shares ? Best to sit tight and wait for the rebound IMO Regards all and GL
Happier now - when SP was down to 613p I was kicking myself for not selling out at about 0845 hrs and pocketing a couple of K then buying back in again at about 1230 hrs ! Hopefully we can hold on till COP with about 5% gain. I still see this as able to achieve 800p in short order and maybe as high as 1200p longer term ! At least this share is well traded on a daily basis by lots of punters - perhaps that is why it is so volatile ? Regards and GL with your own plans
holding us back at the mo - Yanks panicking over inflation and interest rates. Whatever happened to the old SM where we invested in good companies with solid income and plans and the SP slowly went up and we got regular dividends ? The SPs just seem to be random numbers churned out by little Daleks which control the markets now - LOL Regards all
crashed back down today but looks like AAL is doing its usual late rally ! Fingers crossed we can gain and hold this time. Regards all
at 1635 hrs £5.761M buy of shares ! WOW - RNS must have sparked the big buy !
Ten year deal signed with Namibia govt by De Beers for diamond production and sales - not sure how this will play tomorrow but I am hoping that the long term stability will impress the SM and boost our SP - fingers AND toes crossed for tomorrow - LOL I have confidence in the CEO and BOD and look forward to cracking 800p in the near future. Regards all and GL
good result today - hope we can ease up the rest of the week - another 5% tomorrow would be good but the way the SM is presently playing miners will be out of it tomorrow and supermarkets et al will be in ! Regards all
good day for miners - sweeping the board at the mo ! My 10% target might come good later ! Regards all and GL
if today is neutral I should be a millionaire when it goes bullish - LOL Can we hold onto our gain today ? Fingers crossed Regards all
I like the fact that each trading day we see 7K or more of trades which shows a lively interest in AAL, many top performers - especially on the "penny shares" have a surprisingly small number of trades but achieve spectacular % gains on the day ! I now stay clear of these volatile shares - I once showed my wife a printout of a 150% gain on a share - giving me a profit of about £30k - by the time I had a coffee and went back to the PC the SP was crashing and no one was buying - I ended up losing £1K before I got out - LOL. Looking at the runners and riders today I can see the debris of many small company shares which have been rocketing up and are now in major decline - usually due to the BODs issuing millions more shares at discount prices to their friends and families but shutting out PIs like us ! As Vince Cable said "The Stock Market now is a sleazy casino controlled by shady characters whose only aim is to separate trusting investors from their life savings" CAVEAT EMPTOR - only gamble cash you can afford to lose ! Regards all - we are at the usual witching hour where the SP goes up a lot or down a lot - hope it is UP today
I was holding AAL at 626p when UBS was giving "sell" and 400p target. I think it's unusual for a broker to give a target so far above the present SP without very good reasons IMO. I am hoping "the word on the street" target 800p is a very good pointer for us - particularly as BAML is such a big player in the markets. Regards and GL
we hit about 805p on 20 April so I am confident that AAL can get back there soon and hold - poss need to wait till after BREXIT for markets to calm down - longer term I am looking for 1100p plus when the full recovery plan goes through later on this year or early next year. AAL loves to swoop up and down 10% or even 20% at a time so if you fancy your luck try selling at tops and buying in dips - I have done OK twice but am now holding about £20K at 520p and will buy more if it dips down to 500p or lower. Regards and GL with your own plans.
