So as to trial size.... There were many more people in the Benlysta trial (aprrox 800 vs 200). We also know that Benlysta failed the stage 3 hurdle... twice! So we are not comparing like with like, are we? Imagine if imm were funded by a third party to do a 800-man trial, that would be a fairer contest.

I read on another board today: "Benlysta failed phase 3 twice and just scraped in with a pass." ... so the drug that everyone says is so much better than Lupuzor .... had a tricky past also.

We're still down 138p or so from last week. That seems very harsh for a drug that can do good for 8-15% of the study population. Perhaps more still in a large trial.

They did too small a trial, perhaps made some mistakes along the way (decision-wise) and the geographic split of patients maybe wasn't right. but heh ho... imm are only a small company (limited trial budget). Sell it to a big pharma, let them do it correctly, to skew the statistics in our favour, and let's get this drug on the market. for the patient's sake. Petrol analogy People tank 4 star, while others prefer 5 star. Lupuzor may be the 4-star (less effective), but it doesn't have the adverse reactions of the 5-star drugs. As a lupus patient, I'd rather refuel with the safer 4-star....

There were too many positives yesterday to mark it down 80% Only the 2nd drug in 50 years (did I read..) to show some efficacy at a phase 3 trial, isn't too bad going for a small-scale trial. The majors could pay for a larger trial and refine the dosage & the statistics I reckon. No side effects is a big plus IMO.
