It's not a little glitch.
It's due to a failure of the BoD.

the very fact we're having this discussion is not a good reflection on the BoD.
No-one in their right mind invests in a Company with a strike-off notice pending. Period.

However, such is the late filing that GFIN have been awarded notice to strike-off.
You'd have to be a complete tool to ignore it.

It only becomes a non-issue when it's dealt with.

I'll put it this way. Who in their right mind would invest in a Company that had a first notice to strike-off against them? ZERO is the answer.

It's for the BoD to speak with investors OR ensure such a circumstance does not come to notice.

Companies House allows 2 months from first notice for appeal.
