The company I work for sold for circa $500M last year, while due diligence was being performed we were all ask not to mention anything to customers or suppliers, I'm not sure if it was a formal NDA though.

As the VC wanted us desperately (we sold from one VC to another), the whole process took around 3 months. So outright sale of assets can happen relatively quickly if the buyer is keen to close the deal. But I expect our team will want the flank results confirmed before final bids are made, or some sort of agreed scaling factor in place such that when the results are known we get an extra dividend.

For negotiation, when there are several buyers hovering you release to market that several parties are interested as that focuses their minds when making bids. Keep the bids secret and you're in a stronger position. Look how Sky and others bit for football rights, the right holders ask for the highest bid and the company who wants it the most puts in what they believe is a high bid that will outbid the other bidders.

Given the recent drop in world markets (trump trade war with EU now too), I'm selling up and bagging profit on the funds I'm invested in. I'm going to top up another £25K ish in the next couple of days soon as funds are cleared back in to cash on account. That will be it for me, but at least another £25K is going in to sticky hands.

Take limp tree, if you click on his username it takes you to a screen that shows he's made 383 post on this board and 116 posts on another share in the last 30 days (at the time of writing). He's equally hated over there. Handy feature because if you click on any of the derampers names, you get a nice summary of all the drivel they post. It's easy to see how every post is negative or argumentative, sticks out a mile.

Given you only spout your great knowledge and opinion on two shares, should we count ourselves lucky because there are thousands out there and you've chosen to bless us with your presence on our share? Or is it because you're paid to deramp this share and the other...
