Public Health England warns of products claiming to provide Covid-19 tests

Public Health England (PHE) has warned some manufacturers are selling products which claim to be able to diagnose a Covid-19 infection in community settings, such as pharmacies.

The current view by PHE is that using such products is not advised as there is little information on the accuracy of the tests.

The government body said there was no published evidence on the suitability of these tests for diagnosing a coronavirus infection in a community setting.

To put things in perspective, if it runs out of control and we all end up catching it in the next 12-24 months. 2% mortality is 1.3M dead, 3% Is 2M, 5% is 3.3M. So while some on here are saying it’s mild, that sounds quite catastrophic?
