Element, I am way heavy in GGP, diversified to divi shares with view to getting year round divi in UK quarterlies. Just mentioned IMB as one example.

I am not putting 100% in GGP, probably at least 85% of my portfolio as it is.

Each to their own, it's compounding that counts and it needs a good few years to start snowballing. I am accumulating shares, not taking the cash.

Jerry, think I'll sell IMB now after reading your advice. Really annoyed that the share price went from £19 to £33 and the extra 150 shares I reinvested. Currently £30 but selling today. Are Post Office accounts easy to set up?

Binky, maybe you'd understand it better if you were automatically reinvesting your divi, especially with quarterly payers.

Dividends don't have to be taken as cash, reinvest and you'll start the compounding snowball rolling.
