But what do we think the GCM will be if we get the green light, initially and then going forward.

I have said this before 28p will not happen. It will either sink or be valued at 50 times current price as the NAV is realised.

This is and always has been a binary bet.

It’s like the long term holders have always said, it’s a matter of time before they will need to mine their own coal to secure energy. It is was alway political and now this ceases to be the case, I believe it will be mined. 2026 will be the £10 party

Yep been building my stake over the last few years with party money (as in money I can afford to lose). All looking good for the next 12 months.

The potential upside is mind blowing

There I have said it now.

This still a binary bet, but looking very positive. A £1+ a share valuation is possible this year.

So just topped up my holding. LTH will win eventually on this.

So we say £200bn of coal in the ground. So on valuation with green light and with a cautious £3 billion valuation that equates to 1.5% valuation of coal in the ground. Which equates to £13 a share which is easily achievable.

Wake me up when we get there

If this gets the green light, it unlocks a $100bn asset. Even at 5% of this you have a share price in excess of £20.

Simple maths here coal in ground 100 billion valuation. 5% of that equates to a £20 share price at current shares in issue. So when the news comes and green light then we are off. Until then let the day traders mess about and the LH wait for the real fireworks.

Even with extraction costs etc this is what the long term holders have been waiting for.

This is like an oil Company discovering a 10 billion dollar asset. This will go north of £10 this year or be bought out for considerably more.

This will happen or it won’t. If it happens 1000p a share possible. If it doesn’t, the license has value and compensation will need to be paid 1p a share.

Hang on in there and be patient

So here is the thing. Mid August 2022 MCG share price 200p. Dow was at the level it is today. By the end of September last year Dow had fallen 5,000 points and MCG was 160p. By mid December 2022 the Dow had recovered by 6,000 points.

What I am saying is that pegged with the Dow the current share price is crazy. If we see a similar fall on the Dow in the next month then we could see a further decline in MCG.

So my advice is by little and often on the way down.

I am starting to buy this again in tranches as it drops down. Using march24 contract. Long term future is good

Until they can show that they have achieved what they said they would achieve in the second half then unfortunately this may well drift back to 80p or even below this. I totally believe in this share, but my head says this will go lower on no news. I will buy lower and add to my holding.

This could drift until confirmation in full year results is delivered. So a topping up opportunity in mid 80’s possible.
