absolutely, all these massive mm down spikes to shake out leveraged holders, those that own are literally golden!
> erm....so what do you call this site?........
an antisocial network :p
oh lol I pasted the CGT bullets, see "Dividend" section
> Further, it is my understanding that there's no witholding tax on divis in Kaz.
There seem a lot of caveats for 0% witholding, the default is 15%. From: https://www.orbitax.com/taxhub/withholdingtaxrates/KZ/GB/Kazakhstan/United-Kingdom
* The non-resident is not located in a jurisdiction with a preferential tax regime (blacklisted jurisdiction);
* The holding period of the shares or participation interest is more than three years;
* The gains are not derived from sale of immovable property located in Kazakhstan;
* The gains are not derived from the transfer of shares which derive their value principally from immovable property located in Kazakhstan; and
* No more than 50% of the value of the assets of the entity from which the shares or participation interest are disposed of is derived from the property of subsoil users.
I can't quite figure out if "subsoil user" means mining :)
or count
> Not sold a bean, only adding & adding.
Yea, me too.
I looked at Poly to get non US equity exposure to Gold, the move 'far away' has me conflicted. On one hand, I'm happy to have equiity in an asset generating company that is faaar away the US (and Europe) for what I see asn upcoming recession and US dollar toilet flush. The future SP recovery and likely divi's are all good in my book. On the other hand, sure risks in 'far away' listings, hope BOD dont roast us hodlers!
Yea, wish I'd maybe sold off half over 300 to allow a future buy in, kudos to the 'ol top-slicing crew, it just gets a bit impractical /time consuming with multi-account larger holdings ;)
BR had 10% at one point, that was 47.36m shares, I thought they boughtin around 7quid? they are into Poly for a damn sight more than 10m quid, even at 7.5%
hexagon channel. Lol, chaos here, now I listen to why!
Kinesis .money, deposit gold, maintain a balance at current values, use a card to cash out, a nice idea, though I suspect tricky, as there is a fraud risk, why funds go 'to' the shareholder/platform involved...
> you should invest in something steady and dependable like a REIT
was checking my SIPP, all REIT portions are down 50% at this point. Other than POLY, I'd hang off investing in anything for a good few months ye, see how the recession wave hits and ride!
paper hands anyone ;)
Not determinde yet, check RNS to upcoming Analyst and Investor Day where clarification on divis may be given.
I don't figure how SOLG share price can _not_ rise with gold ramping of late, isn't that kinda the point of SOLG. And yea, sucks for SOLG holders, up the POLY! 224 is my average, from here its only going one way, north, burned through extra £ for one last bag, am done, and holding!
anyone who wanted in had pleeeeeenty of time lower down, now, not so much :p
lol, I hadn't figured that, kept wondering why people were talking about POG :p
Lol, I've not computed gains to 20, I stopped at 10, which is silly enough ;) I think anything over 7 is probably still years away, and that would have to include a russian regime change to bring those assets into the light, long term planning for sure.
interesting to see relatively small trades driving up, historically its had no impact at all on the price.
Happened to see https://www.ii.co.uk/analysis-commentary/which-were-bestselling-investments-interactive-investor-2022-ii526305 where an Investment Trust (Smithson) was listed as buying Poly in the top 10 shares for 2022.
