The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
DocD - Wouldn't the diagnostic challenge be relatively simple in the first phase? Have you tested positive and are you aged over 80 years old? If yes, then we will send you your SNG nebuliser and it should arrive tomorrow AM.
You have to speculate to accumulate...
None of my shares are going anywhere until the Biden Activ-2 announcement - along with his rebadging of Operation Warp Speed. Maybe a little trade after then but we'll see how high we go...
Wait for a big US announcement on tackling Covid properly now that Biden is in charge. $50Bn lined up to spend on testing and therapeutics. Activ 2 trial announcement and drugs named. For an extra boost, throw in the potential of a condition pre-order if you're feeling particularly bullish.
The above isn't priced in - we're still seen as a small plucky British university spin off that's just started a p3 drug trial that won't see results until the Summer - with the public thinking that we'll have missed the covid boat by then.
Headline US government trial news will make people sit up and will be the first that US investors will have heard of Synairgen.
Zephi - you've turned up to class and not done your homework haven't you? Go and sit in the corner and read the reddit page. No turning round and talking until you've read it all :)
It's welcome news, but there's nothing for the press to report. What would the headline be? "Trial patient that may or may not have had the trial drug recovers and returns home"
Org - I'm confused why you have taken Dr Porter's response as a fear of the drug not being used due to its price tag. "could still prove cost effective if phase 3 confirms promise. It will all come down to efficacy and impact on mortality, ICU stays, long term complications etc."
He is simply stating the obvious that the cost of the drug needs to be less than the costs that it saves. If less people die too then thats going to also add value to the drug's worth.
70% SNG and rising
5% NCYT
10% Alphabet
10% Tencent and Baba
5% managed funds
I’m hoping for life changing returns from SNG - normally when I’ve seen companies in this position they’ve been pre-IPO and difficult/impossible to invest in.
Competition is limited and demand could be unlimited - what’s not to like?
I also sold my RDSA shares and I'm now at about 70% of my portfolio in SNG. I also have 5% in NCYT which is a solid share with upside, but I can't see the same multi-bag potential that SNG has from today.
I have HL but I dont think the pricing is true live - its 15 minute delayed live pricing. I've been using Google to get a live SNG price, but its not ideal refreshing the page each time to update it.
on HL it says "FTSE AIM 100 delayed by at least 15 minutes"
Seems to be some upward pressure building now...
Well said. Without all your due diligence, research and confidence I wouldn't have invested as heavily as I have. Thank you.
163p at close
Fully filled my wife's ISA allocation this morning at 137p so very thankful its gone into the blue already - since there's more eyes on that allocation. Questions would be asked if it was showing a loss! :o)
an unexpected opportunity to buy more sub 150p! 5K @ 147.7p
bought 9309@155.6 - thought I'd missed out yesterday at getting more sub 160
henk - No price has been agreed until orders are placed, but the comparative price to begin negotiations is the $3K that remdesivir costs per treatment. RM made the additional point that SNG will likely prove to be more effective than that treatment so a case could be made for a higher cost for SNG, but I'd be surprised if the price tag was higher.
Maybe make a conservative assumption that SNG will make at least £1000 profit per treatment sold.
Thanks Oxford, that would be a welcome additional revenue opportunity if it was proven. Sounds like a study is needed into interferon levels of long covid sufferers to see if they have lower than expected levels after the infection has subsided.
Good summary. One question I had was with regards to Long Covid treatment and SNG001.
I presume SNG is only useful in preventing long covid - as opposed to treating someone that is already suffering from it?
