Interestingly around yhe time the US decided to build the new embassy mka was 49% owned by Talaxis with theur very strong China links. I think they even had an option to acquire up to 75% of Songwe. How differently things might have turned out..

I think the local benefit is around 90m still significant and yes it does show a US commitment to Malawi. What it does not show is a direct relationship between Songwe and the new embassy which is what was clearly implied in the post I responded to.

I think the other aspect a magnet recycling via Hypromag technology is that it also simplifies the recycling of the other materials in the source waste because if not removed magnets turn to powder and clog up filters etc. Hypromag will effectively become preprocessing for other rcycling
