Agreed, was refreshing and gave me confidence to keep building at these levels having started on the drop down. I feel the business has lot going for it with a CEO/founder that wants to keep delighting customers and creating wins for all. Leaning into AI and believes in the business with good reason, not just blind faith because he started it. Who’s to say it won’t drop further with the current mood/narrative with software stocks but happy to wait for the winds to change on this one.

He seems steadfast in his view that approach from Bain seriously undervalued the business and that AI isn’t going to destroy the business.

More negative sentiment (as if we needed it) and opportunity for the shorts to play on. Momentum, sentiment, AI threats, broker downgrades all converged. I too have just thought the tide has to turn on valuation metrics etc and kept dropping more in. Share price is clearly disconnected from business performance but with all the above in play it really doesn’t matter in this market. There is no ‘positive’ story to buy into and the choking continues. I won’t capitulate now, rightly or wrongly but will hold back on adding anything more significant as been averaging down forever it feels!

I hear you and somewhat agree, although I don’t think it would likely make a difference the way things are playing out at the moment. In the Dec update I actually thought the below sounded reasonably optimistic but didn’t move the dial/narrative.

Agree it’s incredibly frustrating, but I believe it will turn. I reckon the shorts are targeting £6. I’ve seen a £5.93 from Dec 23 on a chart so I’m hoping that’s the bottom. With all the share buybacks (and subsequent cancellations) when there’s a change in the winds it could indeed be swift!

4 late trades totalling £16m from earlier today. Would like to see that as a positive! Here’s hoping anyway!

Looks as though they’re wanting to take it down to £6.10-£6.40 level again……..Thought we’d seen the last of that but evidently not it seems. Well the buy back is hoovering up plenty of shares at what feels like a very attractive price to do so and I’ll just keep adding a few here then when I can waiting for a catalyst to come or until they’ve had enough with it.

There does feel like a significant disconnect here. Market seemingly taking the view it’s ex growth with the challenging uk backdrop but I think it’s just a very near term headwind. Whilst not here for a takeover, it does look a sitting duck!

£2m @ £9.98? Pretty chunky…..

Probably the above and also opportunity for some to sell into good volume.

I’m going to go with results in line with consensus, probably still seeing weakness in uk but new acquisitions offsetting that somewhat and then perhaps a new buyback announced. Maybe a 5-10% rise if forward looking outlook doesn’t deteriorate. But could easily be taken down another leg if even a slight miss or outlook isn’t on point!

I wouldn’t have thought so based on the number of shares in issue and current price. Recently had a share buy back running, so suggests board considered value at the current price and only paused because of the potential takeover discussions. Not sure why not been reinstated given they fizzled out but perhaps something else brewing, good or bad. Hopefully positive!

Yep looking good. Performance slightly ahead of expectations is pleasing! Interesting rebrand as well. Update should be supportive of share price and platform for further gains from here. Was some very chunky buys yesterday before this update.

There was a trading update 24 Nov last year so potentially will see one next week. Debbie selling a chunk of shares at £2.10 one factor likely to be influencing things right now. Last update things were on track so hopefully haven’t seen a deterioration in anything……..

Also getting tempted to top back up here. Last few days has seen a new short interest above 0.5 appear. May well be contributing to downward pressure…..

I’m sure JS referenced offers a while back around £1 and that weren’t entertaining those? Does feel very much on the cheap side. Let’s hope in stirs a bit of interest over the weekend and see if anyone else fancies coming to the table given the lowball offer.

At an offer price of £1, feel that is on the low side for the board to be recommending. Maybe some other parties may come in with competing offer?

Yeah think broker downgrades will keep a lid on things for a bit. I note HSBC moved to £3.70 target price, so food for thought with big discrepancies in broker targets (although is generally the case across most shares). I started a modest position at 4.50-460 and see how things pan out from here. May add if see some stabilisation here.
