Yes I do as I took the time to write to NICE and was surprised they did but they replied. There so much nonsense on here I thought I would find out for sure. He you go:-
The types of recommendations the committee can make are:
Conditionally recommended for use while further evidence is generated.
Made when the committee or panel consider it is plausible that the technology will address the unmet need and it is acceptable for the technology to be used in practice (potentially with measures in place to mitigate risks) while further evidence is generated. How evidence is to be collected (for example, collected while the technology is used in practice or from a research study) will be determined in the evidence generation plan developed.
Recommended in research
Made when the committee or panel are uncertain if the technology has the potential to solve the unmet need, or if the committee do not think it is acceptable for the technology to be widely used in practice while further evidence is generated. For example, if it is too uncertain about the extent to which the potential benefits of use outweigh the potential risks.
Not recommended for use
Made where the committee or panel do not believe a technology has the potential to meet the unmet need, or where there are concerns about the potential harms associated with using the technology even in a research context.
There's no legal requirement to follow the recommendations we make on this type of technology, but it's considered best clinical practice for the NHS to do so. This does mean that even if we've issued guidance recommending a diagnostic procedure, the NHS is not obliged to provide it. Therefore, at this time, it would be difficult to say whether the NHS would have to install the technology for use of patients as it would depend on the type of recommendation and whether individual commissioners decide whether to adopt it.
This is doing better but even if NICE recommend AIHD use the NHS do not have to implement it unless the benefits outweigh the benefits of spending their money elsewhere.
GDR need sales.
It would not surprise me one little bit if some on here, even regular poster hold zero shares. Mark my words some have zero holding.
Been a little better lately but the raise still concerns me.
The NICE news will help but let’s remember they need to sell things to stay afloat (even post raise)
It’s almost as if the £4.7m out and £50k in has been forgotten.
I must admit Roger I am not over surprised. Given where the NHS are now I’m not convinced AIHL will rescue this.
GDR continue to spend at the same rate yet sell nothing.
This really is AIHL or bust (or get taken over for pittance). That raise is coming and to have any chance of corporates taking a punt it will have to be an absolute steal of a price.
I know I will get abuse as not wearing the BB rose-tinted glasses but so be it.
Does anyone know (totally certain) if NICE can insist the NHS use technology they recommend or if it just a best practice recommendation which leaves the ball in the NHS court please?
Bullish your reply typifies so much on here. While I don’t disagree it’s a great thing to save the babies hearing, really great, rich people don’t become rich through sentiment and throwing away good money after bad. I maintain they would be thrown out the den and told to stop now. Good grief they lost £4.7m last year.
Budd was never ever going anywhere. CEO’s hardly ever get removed as part of an AGM vote. They can pretty much do as they wish now and I fully expect the cash raise to come in January. They have little choice really as they are burning £12,000 a day with nothing coming in.
The best hope is a buy out but logically (not emotionally) who wants to buy a company that sells nothing. I maintain the products are good but not as good as the company make out, if they were they would sell.
If nothing else it’s good for a laugh on here how anyone posting anything close to reality is abused and the posts which if came true (Peter Pan style) are championed and recommended in the hope they are reading the truth.
Just for one minute imagine the products were pitched in Dragons Den. The killer question is always ‘how many have you sold?’ They would be laughed out of the Den and rightly so.
The timing of the AGM was very odd - 29 December when most employees of note are on holiday. I suspect the delay is indeed because they are low on resource at this time.
Could be wrong but wouldn’t surprise me. The timing is to try and cover up just how bad things are.
Nissan why would anyone buy at a price higher than the current one?
Would you rather buy at 10p or 15p?
Maybe Budd will say only kidding we didn’t really lose £4.7m it was just a little joke.
James what do you want Lloyd to say? GDR did a great job of selling their covid tests? He’s right - they sold sweet FA. They spent almost £50,000,000 and made £50,000. It’s fact. And while I’m on a roll here’s another. They still haven’t sold anything and told us unless they raise they will run out of money. There I’ve said it now. Take those rose tinted glasses off and get ready for the raise. If they still don’t sell this is going under or will be sold for pittance.
Things have been slightly better but is still dire. I may be wrong but think the new sales channels are to keep Budd in place and that’s all. What on earth are they all doing every day!
They sell nothing and sooner or later that raise is coming. We have all be warned.
Surprised some think there will be an RNS each day. There’s nothing to say.
I will of course get stick here but so be it. It’s a complete disaster. It’s rose tinted glasses that have cost so many so much on here.
Life must get very confusing for some on here if they sell things on eBay. They put it up for sale and when someone buys it they must have to write to them to say no no I’m not selling it I’m buying it.
Trust me Metatron, I and many others wish we weren’t here. Never seen so much potential wasted so quickly.
Live and learn I guess
Ok
System if you have to ask that you are in the wrong game.
Unbelievably 3 people recommended you question. Wonder who they were lol. Think we know.
There’s more red in the trades than at the Kop end when Liverpool sing You'll Never Walk Alone.
Ironic as GDR are very much walking alone!
The trades today are very telling.
Fair point Starres - we will see!
Also Bruno what fantastic news are you expecting. There was none last week and they as good as said there’s none on the horizon.
What bit of ‘we are running out of money’ is the most difficult to understand.
You are right Guy. The NICE stuff is almost irrelevant as those machines could be sold now. NICE just give a recommendation, well it’s recommended now but for some reason the NHS are not that excited by it. The way some go on you would think NICE were going to say every hospital has to have them. If the NHS did everything that was recommended they would spent about 80% of their time implementing new things. And btw, they have no money!
