RE: Expect a Steady Rise in SP before Results...10 Mar 2026 15:55
Those are fair points , Micky.
What conclusions should we draw from those facts though?
Suppose that I have agreed to drive my wife to the airport and allowed plenty of time for in case of hold ups, but when we get into my car it does not start. My wife calls a taxi, and I call the AA, who say that team will be sent out to me and should arrive very shortly. My wife has a decision to make. Should she cancel her taxi, confident that the AA will arrive quickly and get my car going, and that I will get her to the airport in time to catch her plane, or should she take the taxi?
The 'facts' that the AA has been summoned, that their representative has said their team should very shortly, and that if they do, and can get my car going there will be time for me to get her to h airport to catch her plane (all true) don't actually alter the position one way or the other. They only tell her that although my car won't go at present, it may be got going in time for me to drive her to the airport i time to catch her plane, not that it will be. She will rey upon the taxi.
To apply that to the QBT investment scenario, the 'facts' that QBT has recently announced, even though almost certainly true, constitute no assurance that the kit will work on the rigs or that contracts will follow the trials. That remains equally as uncertain now as did before the 'facts' were announced. Investors have a choice whether to place their faith in QBT or opt for other investment vehicles (just as my wife could rely upon her taxi) and as the new 'facts' are irrelevant to that decision because THOUGH TRUE THOSE FACTS CONSTITUTE NO INDICATION, STILL LESS AN ASSURANCE THAT QBT's THEORY IS READY TO BE APPLED COMMERCIALLY (or ever will be) AND THAT DEALS TO DO SO WILL BE MADE NOW (or ever), those facts do not lter the investment case (or absence of investment case for QBT.
It really isn't complicated, provided that you understand the simple proposition that a fact may be both true, AND irrelevant: Uber will send a taxi if i phone them (true), but so what if I want a plane ticket?
