NickD - that really is a remarkable delay - do you think that this is a function of the perceived liquidity of the stock - MMs might view this as not very liquid and some big buys could send it flying upwards. I don't think I have ever seen delays as long as that on BMN.

Tyfoon - maybe they have a really expensive holiday to pay for or maybe they just could not believe that a company that had just reached record SP highs may actually be a share that investors might wish to keep hold of. Like flies round honey they just could not keep away.

Tyfoon - I don't think so - the aggressive sequence of sells between 8:44 and 8:53 seems pretty capable of driving the Bid down. I believe that these are all connected - look at the sizes, all large and studiously avoiding round number trade sizes. Are we really to believe that many people all suddenly turned up wanting to sell big chunks of shares. This has aspects of coordination about it.

I did wonder initially whether if as the concentration of Vanadium rose the viscosity of the electrolyte might rise to the point that it became harder to pump it through the flow cells. However it turns out this is not the limiting factor on the V concentration - it is simply the amount that you can get the solution to accept, after about 2M the V won't dissolve any more.

Redleader - I believe that the concentration of Vanadium ions in electrolyte solution is as high as you can make it because each ion dissolved is an ion you can store energy on and thus your energy density increases with the concentration. Thus I don't think there is any mileage in the idea that you may be able to make an electrolyte concentrate with any higher V conc., economically appealing as that may be.

Nick - it is interesting that Anthony mentions in-country beneficiation for Uis - so a possible smelter on site, and makes numerous remarks that indicate that they are still interested in utilising the SA tin resources.

So actually I'm not so unhappy that Imergy went belly up, maybe now we can get a bit more reality amongst the VRFB makers.

Actually the Vanadium made from fly-ash is more expensive than the Vanadium we make so the origin is not the important point, though they sold it as that to try and make it simple for the people they wanted to invest.

The idea that they would have been getting 'dirty' Vanadium at half the price of everyone else is complete nonsense, for if it were so and I had a steel plant I would be buying it all up, and then some.

I'm afraid this was yet another example of the American we-don't-have-any-Vanadium-so-it-must-be-very-special-and-expensive angle.

Yep it is a pity that Imergy are no longer around.

Whilst it appears that there are not dedicated AIM100 trackers it begs the question as to why not.

Over the last 3 years AIM100 would have returned 70% profit
Over same period the NASDAQ composite would have returned 56%
AIM All share Index would have returned 45%
FTSE100 would have returned 18%

Investing in the AIM100 returns 4.5 times as much as the FTSE100.
